Premature balding? If so, what age did it start?

Mine started at 21. My front hairline just started fading gradually. I was accustomed to crew cuts already from being in the service, so I was kinda meh about it. I'm 29 now, and a solid hairline is about an inch and a half from where it was. It's also slightly thinned in the back/top, along that typical baldness circle. Not too noticeable, but it's happening. I still trim it all off.

The balding or the shaved head?

I love the shaved head... Take my hat off and suddenly people look at me differently -- like I might beat them. That or I'm crazy.

yeah, people do seem more intimidated, especially when angry. Now if I had some tats on my neck I'd be set.

I am going crazy over my grey hairs now. Many times too lazy to dye it so I just trim it low (number 2 hair clip on electric razer) now.

This was more less the type of hair I had (maybe thicker) and I would spend awhile getting it perfect before I would go out at night.

I think Travolta is going bald now but at his age who cares right? He had it when it counted:)

My hair started thinning around 21. My brother was around the same time too. We were into Metal and have long hair, but of course once the top start thinning it just look weird to have long hair, so we shaved our heads.

Around 18, when I started college. In the shower I counted up to 100 hair strands lost at one time. Wasn't truly noticeable until 22 or later.

18 for me. The top is getting thinner and thinner. It's sucks god dammit.

Now where is that DNA stem cell treatment they promised 10 years ago?

Same as you, about to shave it all off in the next couple months, although I'm not sure if I have the dome for a shaved head, then again I don't have many other options.

early 20's, 10 years later....it's getting thin. I've been cutting my hair with hair clippers 1/16" since.

I started losing mine, and fast around 23/24 I think. Which is actually late for my family. It looked alright (not great) like that for maybe another 6-7 years. Then one day I noticed I now had a huge bald spot on the back of my head as well. I figured it was over at that point and just shaved it.

I think I'm balding (hairline is receded but it was never low anyway) and I'm in my early 20s. The top is fine though.

My father went bald and gray in his twenties. Thankfully I got my moms genes as I am 46 and have a full head of hair and barely gray. I started getting some silver hairs in my late 30s but its so silver and translucent that I put a little gel in my hair and it just blends in with my hair. My beard on the otherhand is mostly gray. I always said if I was gonna be balding I would just shave my head.

Started noticing more hair than normal in the drain catch around age 21-22. At age 24 I got a new licence and noticed a difference in my hair line. I'm about 1 1/2 months away from 28 and my hair is noticeably thin up top but still can get away with most short styles.

I plan on hitting the gym hard now and at age 30-32 shaving it off and going for the bald strong man look. I don't want to mess around with any sort of hair plugs, pills, ointments or the like. Both sides of my family have major hair loss issues... It's going to happen so I don't want to deal with any funky side effects from trying to buy a couple more years.

The crappy part is I can't grow anything close to a beard. I have more hair on my legs then some parts of my head will have in two years, yet I can't get an even spread of hair on my face.

C'est la vie.

Around 20 was when I first noticed my hair thinning out. Now at 31, I'm not fully bald around my crown but it's pretty close. I never noticed hair in the drain or anything.

But it's better than my dad. By 25, he was pretty much bald in the same spot.

I had long hair until I was 20, but when I cut it all off it was pretty noticeable that my hair was thinning. I've just shaved it ever since then.
