I get the impression deep down he knows he's sunk, but can't come to terms with it yet. Kind of like when Romney was convinced he was going to win but wouldn't admit surrender until Fox grudgingly admitted he lost.

I feel bad for the guy.

Hopefully the leftover dildos and lube that never made it to the militia folks before the arrest can make their way to Jeb!

why feel bad for him? He is a part of the people that made this happen:

*pssssst... so is Hillary...*

You get away with so much with that "I'm a Libertarian" thing and just randomly posting insults most of the time 😛

You have that act down pat.

pssst the exec branch lied to congress and got them to vote for something. You think that is equal? The vice presidents company got a no bid contract to service that war? 😵 What a world.

Of course they did, it was a Cakewalk to Baghdad...

Excuses, excuses. Go read liberals criticizing Hillary and her hawkishness. Make no mistake, Hillary loves a good war just as much as the next neocon.

Get away with what as a libertarian? Being against war? Yeah, I know how much Democrats hate people who are against war, what with all of the countries Obama and Hillary were trying to destabilize...

I would love to have a pro lbgt rights and anti hawkish government but it seems we always need to find ways to bomb someone somewhere when bombs costs more than the average cost of homes for Americans.

I think most of us can agree that Hillary and our war in Iraq are/were both terrible. Bush's administration definitely carries most of the blame for that war, but the rest of it goes to the legislators (like her) that voted for the invasion resolution. It's also worth noting that in all of Congress 97% of Republicans and 43% of Democrats voted yes.

And they voted based on false intelligence brought to them by the exec branch. Intelligence the exec branch knew was false. And you want to blame them for how they voted?

Yes. There were other sources of information out there, and there were significant numbers of skeptics even on the day the vote was taken. Like I just said: the liars get most of the blame, but there were serious doubts that Congress ignored when it pushed that resolution through. This isn't the US electoral system where the winner takes all; that Congress doesn't get a free pass just because Bush was worse.

I'm still pissed nobody was ever held accountable for such poor intelligence. I have to assume the WH was so fired up for a fight that they'd accept anything that supported war.

You really do not know me very well, obviously...

But I knew that a long time ago.

I still suspect the poor intelligence was a bit more than unintentional myself. And I'm not really a big conspiracy type of person myself.

i agree. Though it wasn't just the Whitehouse. I think far to many in majority of the politicans wanted it. Far to much money to be made.

There was a lot of push for the war. However the fact the exec branch lied to all of us to get us to go into this false war for profit was huge. Bush's 3% numbers are the beginnings of that accountability. If this was the old days his (W.bush) entire extended family would be killed for such a transgression.

Eh, which "old days"?

I mean, Robespierre France? Sure.

Pretty much anytime before or after, aristocrats were safe as long as they remained in good favor at court and voted the King credits for his new wars.
