Bump for new interior pix.

The interior is definitely growing on me.

Has anyone noticed the torque guage?
looks like somewhere around or less than 370torque is the maximum, which means it's probably running around similar power to the GTO LS1(The gto made 350hp/365 tq) or a detuned L76(362hp, 391tq).

Either way, no 400 or more hp like many have predicted with the LS2 or LS3, looks like it wont be the monster people assumed it would be.

Why is GM still trying to hide this. There was a blockbuster movie made withthe damn car in it. Everyone's seen it. why keep hiding it?

Because that Camaro was based of the Concept (non-production) version.

That doesn't necessarily mean that it wont' go over 370 torques. How many speedometers are there that cut off below a cars true top speed.

The torque gauge may even differ between models.

Whoever took those needs to learn where the auto focus on their camera is. The interior pics of the Camaro look a little better than before, but that's still not saying much. My heart still lies with the Challenger. Only one week now till its debuted in Chicago!

Please post the link to where you read the new Camaro would weigh in at 3400 pounds. I highly doubt that to be true...heck there is no way it could weigh 3400 pounds and still cost around 30k (they'd have to use alot of aluminum, which would push the price up).

The curb weight on an 08 corvette is 3217 (listed on chevrolet's own website). There's no way a camaro could weigh 200 more pounds on the heavy Zeta platform. The Pontiac G8 is rated around 3900-4000 pounds (V8), which uses the same Zeta platform as a camaro. So you can be sure, the camaro will prolly weigh in at 3750.

hahah heck the camaro might even weigh the same.
Look at the Charger SRT8. On dodge's website its listed at 4160.
The freaking challenger is listed at 4100. http://www.07dodgechallenger.com/

Pitiful, all these crazy horse power numbers, but at such a huge cost (weight). I hope the new mustang keeps its 3550 curb weight and gets a bump of 50 or so hp.

Oh ya to stay on topic, that new camaro interior just sucks. I was thinking about buyin a camaro but the interior is a definite turn off.

You're right about the weight. I'm optimistic the years they've spent with the 5th gen can dump some tonnage but it won't be enough. The Zeta is a lackluster platform. No TTops.. no hatch, I assume a gas tank wasting the whole trunk like it did on the Goat (why else the filler cap on top on the concepts?). I'm jumping to conclusions but I think they're safe ones.

Four of us used to take my 94 Z to the golf course because you couldn't fit 4 with 4 golf bags in their Grand Cherokees. I realize sales were sluggish but that doesn't mean it wasn't a superior product to the Mustang. This new car will gain an upgrade in interior (don't fret over this preproduction crap ;) ) a few hundred pounds, a loss of utility and all several years too late to market. I'll probably still want one anyway.

The torque gauge may even differ between models.

Few if any. JagXJ220 had a 220mph speedo for 212mph top speed, Camrys have a 140 with a 122ph top speed, MR2 spyders have 140 for a 128mph top speed. Veyrons have a 260mph speedo for a 252-253mph top speed.

How many tachometers have a limit before the actual top RPM? How about boost gauges with a limit lower than the max boost? Voltage gauges lower than max charging voltage? If anything it might be a bit high. I'd say 370 or less torque is the top limit. Theres no reason to have a to have a gauge cutoff before the max torque.

If you're talking about a fuel cutoff speed limiter, that's completely different.
