Well I got the DVD version and did recieve the T-shirt, but no headset....WTF!!!!??? First 100 orders? I posted this at like 5am when I got the email and thats when I bought it. F compusa once again!

Hi I preordered it on the June 20th 1 day before it was shipped and I did the 2 day shipping I only did it on compusa.com to get the headset that comes free and the t-shirt and the 15 dollar gift card. I really was just loooking to het the headset with it. Well I recieved it on thursday June 23 and I recieved the game pc cd-rom edition and the t-shirt and a pre-order box which included the headset. While I was waiting for the game to arrive I called Compusa.com Customer Service Number and asked them that on the order there was no notation about getting the pre-order headset or shirt they put me on hold and told me that if anyone placed an order before 12pm est June 21 they were to recieve both t-shirt and pre-order headset and if it was not included in the order that I could call back and they will send it out to me. After I recieved my order with everything as listed. I called them and told them that there was no notation on the order about shirt and headset and was told when I called the other day that if it was no included I can get it still and they said yes that was fine I was trying to see if I could get an extra set but they were out of it and were not getting anymore in.

Yeah I had the same thing happen to me. I placed my odred on the 20th. 2 days later I get that email. I send back a reply that says that's fine ship it. 2 More days go by the order status hasn't changed. Then I get another email that says we are out of tshirts and headsets, but will still be shipping you your order. I was like HUH?!? I'm paying $55 for the basic game with NONE of the addons!?!? So I called and cancelled the order. It'll be on sale at BB soon enough for me.

First they screwed us on the headsets. Now I get a rebate rejection in the mail stating that I purchased the item outside of the rebate dates. Since I preordered the game, and they had the rebate form, the t-shirt offer, and the headset offer on the page with the game stating that you would get all of these items if you preordered with CompUSA, I decided to order one. The rebate is valid for June 22 through 25. Well, CompUSA decided to place my order on June 21 and voila!!! Rebate rejected. Didn't they just get smacked down by the FTC for shady rebate practices? Has anyone else received a rejection for this? Maybe we should file a complaint with the FTC. All of my other CompUSA rebates have gone through as I am religious about sending them in and tracking them, but this pisses me off. It's like a bait and switch without the switch.

Intogamer, I called and they said no way. It was outside of the dates even though it was a preorder item that was not supposed to ship until the rebate was valid. Needless to say I told them I would take my business elsewhere in the future.

i'm filing a complaint thru the dallas bbb (the bbb for the compusa hq), i wasn't happy when i was told there were limited quantities of the headset and now this too. why did they advertise the item with a free headset and giftcard, but not mention the free headset was for the first 100 orders only, and that the giftcard rebate was not valid until the week after release, and yet they include it in the advertisment and include the rebate link for the pre-order but when it comes to the actual qualifing period for the rebate, they don't show it on the website !

i would suggest that others who have been conned out of what we were told we would get, also file a complaint with the dallas better business bureau, so they can see how many people also lost out !

Yeah what I did when they tried to pull that with UT2k4 gift card was goto my local store and do a return/rebuy so I could get the dates within what the rebate asked for. Hint: Always read the fine print on those.
