I saw the user remarks for the Leadman/Powmax stuff at Directron, and I don't know what to make of it considering my experience with the product. I've taken many power supplies apart and the design, parts,and contruction of the Leadman line is top quality. Dual ball bearing fans, large heatsinks, clean layout, higher grade parts on the PCB than most. I have the 400watt model in my main rig(check it out), it was purchased at a CompUSA B&M over a year ago (was in a CompUSA box).

Things can change, Directron may be purchasing refurb or bogus product, who knows, so take my comments for what they are worth.

As far as Directron goes, I bought a blue Futura 17" monitor for my kid last year, it came with a cracked bezel(and for some reason the shattered parts were not in the box?). They wanted to send me a new bezel that I could install myself. So I said I'd get back to them and set the monitor up. I could'nt tweak the thing to look any better than a 1960's color TV. Sent it back, and it took a month for the credit. My daughter got the Samsung 753df from Staples instead (lucky kid).

So there ya go,
Tommy P.

the above readings are from the Powmax running Prime95 for half an hour
this below readings are from the Enermax 431watts PSU running Prim95 also===both PSU are running with the same system

The Vio ---3.49v
the +5 --- 4.89v
the .12 ---12.05v
the agp --- 1.49v
the ddr ---2.54v
the vsb ---4.90v
the vbat ---3.12v

I got mine yesterday. It has been running for the last 32 hours and everything seems to be fine. It is much quieter than other PS I have used. That is very good thing about it. Let us see how long it lasts. Thanks.

from the readings, i can say that enermax has a lower +5 rail, but higher 12+ rail than the powmax
The powmax has higher +5, but lower 12+ than the enermax

Both PSU are very quiet, have dual fan design, but the enermax pushes more air than the powmax

I have a 400w Wintech power supply thats not listed on AMD's site as apporved but it had a real amd approved sticker on it...and a lesser wintech model was approved so i figured it must be legit, and it works excellent. Paid 50$shipped on ebay for a 400w apporved psu and a decent case (although the case is future power, its one of there better items.)

I purchased the 6000E from www.pcwebshopper.com for $64 back in December. I've been running it non-stop since Dec 17th without a hitch. Here are the voltage ratings on the side of my PSU...

3V = 30A
5V = 50A
12V = 25A

Here is what I have in my case...

Dual PIII 1.0Ghz on a Supermicro P6DBU (onbaord Ultra2 Scsi)
1 - Quantum Atlas IV 7200rpm HD
3 - Western Digital 7200rpm HD's
2 - Maxtor 5400rpm HD's
1 - SCSI Zip Insider
1 - Pioneer 6X SCSI DVD
1 - Teac 8X SCSI CD-RW
1 - HP NetRaid Adapter
1 - ATI AIW 128
1 - Promise Ultra66 Controller
1 - SB Live Soundcard
1 - 3com Network Card
1 - Diamond HomePNA Network Card

I figure that's a lot of components to push this PSU, and it's worked flawlessly. I love it! Not exactly sure about the TCO on this baby but it sure boots everytime for me.
