power supply question

A bad power supply can do all kinds of bad things to your computer including damaging other componets.

Post the specs of your computer so other might help you better. The specs of your system make a difference.

No offense, but you got ripped off.

That PSU probably has really weak rails, a lot of fluctuation, and probably can barely make it to 300Watt of power.

I would definately upgrade to a quality PSU.

If it's running well and is stable, then leave it alone. There is no reason to replace your power supply.

Thermaltake 420 watt. Under 50. Running it right now with 11.92 12V rail, A64,3 hardrives, 6800nu.

my power supply runs great ... im running 3 neons and 4 led fans .. i didnt have any problems .. but will it work with my new 6800gt??

There is no reason to think it won't.
The 6800GT only calls for a 350watt supply.

well quality really does matter cus i had a 430W cheapo psu that came with my case. was very unstable but now i have a quality one its all gravy now

I personally wouln't run a 6800 GT with a generic PSU. There is too much risk of it blowing and taking the card with it, plus all your other stuff.

Do you even care what advice we give. I specifically advised to NOT get TT. Why even post and ask a question??

TT's are noisy, they have horribly weak rails, and have poor quality (Ie Small Heatsink, and capacitors).

They are strictly for entry level computers that want a little bit of flash.
