Heh. Maybe if each state had its own power grid, and its own power generators this wouldnt happen. Instead you have the eastern power grid, the western power grid, and the Texas power grid, with a bunch of states in the east and west not providing enough power for their own states.

Texas has it's own power grid? That's cool! :)

Yes most of Texas is on its own grid. It has one direct current connection to the western power grid, and one dircet current connection to the eastern power grid. The way it currently set up, Texas can export that much power to either grid, I think we can export enough power, to power 75 homes off each connection, so a total of 150 homes. Im not totally sure though. I believe there were some people wanting the three power grids joined together. IMHO that would be a mistake.

Who fvcking cares you crazy canucklehead.

did i ask if you cared? stfu

Wow witty comeback. Did you learn that on your pizza delivery route? Big man you are!

that doesn't even make sense, but it's your prerogative to make yourself look like an ass so don't let me stand in your way.

It does make sense. I was calling you a loser and you are.

you don't even know my name, so my original proposition still stands: STFU.

I believe it is Greg or Gregg so fvck off.
what part of STFU don't you understand? PM me for instructions, you've hijacked this thread enough.

It's called PM, boys. Learn how to use it.

err so why didnt you pm them to tell them that? (yes i see my own hypocracy in this)

Mechanical failure? Explosion/Fire? Alot of things...

Mechanical failure and Explosion/Fire are accidents.

Hmm...I can walk down the street and see a nuclear plant....I'm wondering if my power comes from there.

Someone else was, yeah, forcesho. If it's a problem with power issues just get an extension cord and an A.C. Inverter for your car.

Oh lord. There was this guy on ABC w/Ted Koppel and he was obviously a fake- he was directing people to go to a website- and Ted was just clueless. He just let the guy go one and on for like 5mins, he must have mentioned the website 10 times.

My power just came back on. I am just outside of Rochester, NY. Most people here shrugged it off and had a beer.

I asked a question to a good friend who works for a power company in cincinatti, and who is right now working on this problems as part of her companies other plants in ohio:

(What's happening)

xxxx: I'm not sure.
*** Auto-response sent to xxxx: I am currently away from the computer.
xxxx: i'm doing my best to find out.
xxxx: the only thing i KNOW is that nothing natural would cause the grid to fail.

I'm going back to working on my newest inventions, the wind up Internet and the squirrel cage powered computers. :)

Hope there isn't a rush on Purina Hamster Chow. ;)
