Look, we understand that you have a grudge against God. That's fine, you're entitled to it; he'll forgive you anyway.
However, it does NOT entitle you to launch a flamewar against everyone who doesn't share your sardonic and comically pessimisstic views. You've spoken your piece, we know you feel God has forsaken the ones you love, but that does not mean you should try to get into a fight every time the subject gets brought up. Your point's been made, now leave.
That's great!! Our God truley is an Awesome God and does answer prayers in the way that He sees fit. Glad you are feeling better.

The thing is, when sports team pray I think they know God doesn't have a favorite team. But have you ever thought that they are praying for their safety? To keep them safe? Keep them healthy? Keep them from getting injured so they can earn their fat salaries?
And regarding the hi-jackers and the people praying on the flight, God has a time for EVERYONE. It was their time to go. They're in a way better place than they were in now. Even though their families suffered a huge loss and are in pain. They know they'll be reunited. One day they will be reunited.

Why does every "atheist" think there is no God just because he doesn't make everyone who believes in him rich and healthy and without problems? May I remind you that we are still human. It takes a lot of will and strength to be religious in this day and age. I think it would be WAY easier (and lazier) to just lay back and say "There is no God, what has he done for me lately". But I choose not to. Not because I was brought up that way, not because I have visions, but because IT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD! Wow, what a concept! Every Sunday I sit in church and listen to readings of what I believe and it makes me feel good and makes me think. If some people can't understand that, or think I'm somehow a "freak" then so be it. Your lackadaisical remarks mean nothing to me. In fact most people that I see that put down my religion are the kind of people that I aspire NOT to be like.
So in the end for those who wished me luck, thank you. My Palsy has in fact gotten better since I wrote this. And for those who feel otherwise.......hey, whatever. You're entitled to your opinions about my situation.
Glad you were able to recover from the Palsy. I went through a bout of it as well when I was under tremendous pressure and personal attack. I am also sure that the Power of Prayer had a lot to do with the recovery. I got better while in Church!
I cut myself once and prayed to my PC that it would stop bleeding. As it did within a few minutes I guess my PC was more powerful than a god who needs several days to weeks to solve Bell's Palsy!
Ah well, morons need religion to stop them from sh!tting themselves when facing the real world.
I don't need any help facing the Real World. I face it every morning when I get up and drive to my $50k a year job. Or when I go home to my beautiful wife. Or when I go house hunting for the house I'm going to buy. I've faced the real world just fine for the 24 years that I've been here, thanks.

glad praying worked for you. most people think its a waste of time or its not worth doing cause its useless, but its all in what you beleive in. whatever works, works. theres no doubt about that. i personally dont pray or go to church or anything like that, but it doesnt mean i dont put my beleifs in some other manner, cause we all beleive in somthing.

Read the page you linked to, the illness often doesn't last for more than a few days anyway. If you'd pray for all cancer patients to be cured, and tomorrow my mum's husband is cured, then I might believe.

See! There it is. Just because bad stuff happens there is no God. Educate yourself on what Religion is. It's not meant to be a cure all for everyone.
