So this morning I press the power button on my monitor, I turn it off each night, and the power button as far as I remember has always been a little 'wonky' like turning it off is no problem but sometimes whenever I try to turn it on I have to press abnormally hard or from a certain direction to get it to 'take'. However once I saw the power light on the monitor turn on I'd never had a problem before, today though when I pressed the power button the light comes on for about a second then just goes black again with the display itself showing no activity.
Tried the usual stuff, disconnecting it from power entirely and pressing the power button, reconnecting the cable, checked the outlets, but everything there is fine as far as I can see. If the problem was just the button not making the connection, I don't think I'd see the power light come on at all, so I'm not sure what to make of it simply blinking on for a moment and then disappearing. Any ideas where to go from here?
I got it refurb from NEC last year and it did have a year long warranty on it, unfortunately I'm about 3 months over that now ><
