bush cares more about illegal immigrants than he does about poor black American citizens.

It's part and parcel of his cynical class warfare tactics.

Well then you need to create a stronger black council.

Conclusion - Keep voting Republican and watch the U.S. get poorer and poorer.

You're right! The inner city blacks have been voting Democrat for years. Now look at them.

Look at THEM???

You post a ridiculous picture of one person and extrapolate that to an entire race?

You are the epitome of a racist asshole.

democrats haven't done a great job of lifting people out of poverty... case in point, new orleans, a democrat-run city for decades. it should have been a shinning city on a hill, the pinncale of liberalism and the war on poverty, instead you had obscene crime rates in New Orleans East, the projects, the glorification of gangsta-life among juveniles...

democrats may have good intentions (just like republicans i might add), but their policies have failed time and time again...

that being said, it remains the church's responsibility to tend to the poor, especially the widows and orphans...

If you are that poor you probably do not pay taxes and no tax cut will help except a sales tax.

Many churches do many things for the poor along with independent charities. I audit Church records at several Mormon Chapels every 6 months and I see quite a bit of money going out for Rent Payments and other necessities of life. Our church also has Bishop's Storehouses which deliver food out to needy people, and we use these resources to help out in many ways in many humanitarian needs. Two examples is a project where we are drilling wells for water in African Villages, and giving away wheel chairs at locations where they have very few local resources. There are churches and organizations all over the world that benefit from the American Spirit of Giving and our compassion for our fellow man from Americans.

Jesus said you will always have the poor. Paul said woe to those who will be found to not have compassion in the last days.

The organization for Mormon Women called Relief Society has a Motto:

"Charity Never Faileth!"
