Obama will sweep and pull into the delegate lead.
However, on March 4 when Clinton wins Texas and Ohio and regains the lead, Obama's momentum will be over and in April Clinton will win Pennsyvania guaranteeing her more delegates than Obama.
This actually will make people think Clinton fought back and won and do wonders for her chances against old man McCain.

is this the bargaining stage?

No, it's the sandwich making phase.

...sorry, I just had to

Do you have a link to where you got this information?

It's on the front page of Drudge.

Voting was extended in Maryland by 90 minutes due to bad weather. Looks like the polls will close in a little over an hour.

I, for one, look forward to 4 years of mediocrity and masturbatory speeches  hopefully Obama manages to get rid of "don't ask, don't tell" in between being blindsided by the fact that people won't do what you tell them to just because you're a nice guy.

Ah, the anger phase, or is it resignation?

Hibbert: Now, a little death anxiety is normal. You can expect to go through five stages. The first is denial.
Homer: No way! Because I'm not dying!
Hibbert: The second is anger.
Homer: Why you little!
Hibbert: After that comes fear.
Homer: What's after fear? What's after fear?
Hibbert: Bargaining.
Homer: Doc, you gotta get me out of this! I'll make it worth your while!
Hibbert: Finally, acceptance.
Homer: Well, we all gotta go sometime.
Hibbert: Mr. Simpson, your progress astounds me.

Huckabee's going to lose to McCain by a small margin in Virginia. Imagine if he had been the front runner, or not close to mathematically eliminated.

Yeah, it clearly shows McCain is in trouble. He'll win the nomination, but his support amongst the heart and soul of the Republican Party is dismal.

Exits show Obama won the Latino vote 55-45!

EDIT: This is Virginia.

That's impossible. A well informed poster said that Obama couldn't even win California in the general election because he can't win the Latino vote. Others say that Texas is impossible for him to win against Hillary for the same reason.

People keep glossing over Texas.

There are plenty of things working against Clinton in Texas.

First, delegate approtionment. It favors Obama.
Second, yes Texas does have a large population of latino voters, however the majority are younger. Obama wins the 40 and under Latino vote by large margins.

Clinton may be able to run up the popular vote in South and West Texas, but Obama will net the most delegates. Save this thread, I'm calling it now.

How come on CNN it shows this for Maryland?
1st place Obama 33%
2nd place Clinton 50%

WTF?

And they are calling it for McCain with 0% of precinct data?

Did you look at the vote tallies? 69 to 104.

edit: and they're calling the races based on the overwhelming poll data.

CNN shows Obama winning the +65 year old, and the rural vote in MD. Obama also won the female and the Latino vote in Virginia.

Here's CNN's exit poll: Text

I don't care whose effect you'll cite next, that's way outside any margin of error.

Obama poached Clinton's base from her in Maryland and Virginia.

He won every income bracket.
He won latinos.
He won women.

He won every single demographic in Virigina except the white vote where he lost narrowly, and the white woman vote where he lost by about 10%.

Bush is one of the most disliked presidents in history... and Dems still managed to lose to him in '04.

I think it's still way too early to really map out how McCain v Obama is going to turn out and whether months of hammering on Obama's lack of experience by someone with actual combat and foreign policy experience will play out.
