Great show!!

I even won a Ferrarai Polo :)

Even the food was very good, and lots of it, the desserts went fast though.

The show is fun and very infornative, well worth the time.

people were there from Detroit and Ohio, driving over 5 hrs, (15 mins 4 me)

Yes the X64 cpu has the code BP(Venice) and that really heats up this deal, go if u can.

Common, give the folks some time. They must have come back late last night after the show & some of them may have to work for a living!

I'd rather the bundle didn't come with the XP Pro and was cheaper. I think I'll pass on this one, just saw an article about Athlon 64 prices coming down next month. I'll wait.

Ok, I'm confused now....

# 2 AMD Opteron 246 CPUs ? (Tray)
# Tyan Thunder K8SD Pro (S2882-D) - Ultra320 SCSI functionality
# Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition

It DOES or DOES NOT have SCSI?

Also, I'm definitely going, but I may or may not keep the dual setup, does anyone want it? (this isnt definite, just trying to figure out if it would be worth taking a bunch of friends and reselling this stuff lol

MustangSVT do they check your background about you are a real IT person or not or works for a computer company? And also do they check your ID and stuff when you pick up your bundles? Thanks

They dont do a background check..

when I got there, they just ask ur name and check you off from the list and hand you ur bag.

I believe they do check your ID when picking up your bundle.

Okay, so we have testimony that you don't need to stay for the whole thing...BUT do you need to sign in @ 9 AM(ish) to pick up your bundle at the dinner break?

That also doesn't seem to be necessary. I remember someone posting that they walked in late in the evening just in time to pick up the bundle!

No, you DO NOT have to sign up at 9am. I signed in at 9PM but I wouldn't advise as I was cutting it as close to the wire as possible. I would advise arriving at the latest 6:15 - 7:15 pm (Buffet Dinner /Technical Demo Showcase) as this is the intended time for bundle pickup.

For what it's worth, Im noticing alot of questions being posted that have already been answered previously in the thread.

Ah, sorry, saw your post but misread it as you getting there at 9 AM, getting your stuff, and leaving at 6.

Thanks for the clarification/follow-up, though. :)

So, just to make sure what to expect, did they hand out badges, name tags, anything at the AM sign-in? If so, are these needed to get the bundles? Or is your name (and CC#?) checked off against a "pre-ordered bundle" list w/ nothing else to do?

EDIT: Gah, don't ask me why, but I thought this was an all-day event.

Ok, i picked up one of the server bundles; have it in hand right now and the model # is S2882G3NR-D, so it does NOT have SCSI.
