Still no pics?!

BUT, once you "upgrade" to XP X64 you will loose your licence for XP Pro, i.e. you wont be able to do the WPA if you want to re-install it.

I love "Yeah....butters" ;P

Yeah but .....I dont own pro and I would like 64 so it will cost me something to get plus Ive got my copy of home to run on another machine. So the fact that x64 comes with the bundles just makes this deal even HOTTER for people in my position. You cant touch these prices ANYWHERE, especially straight from the manufacturer.

For the guys that want pics, go to new egg, look at the picture of the retail box and there you have it. As far as the actual event pics, you aren't missing a thing. If you can imagine an empty conference room, now fill it with people, Eureka, you've got it.

Has anyone seen the prices people are trying to get for 2003 x64? from what I have been told the 2003 is retail from the show, so resale is fine i assume....

Can anyone confirm (Leaverus?) 2003 is or is not retail? or is it NFR?

Yep, the food is absolulely free - not bad either. I'm not sure that they'll have the same spread at every stop though since the food they had at the Chicago event seemed to have come from the kitchen of the Sheraton. As for the 2003, it is in a retail DVD case, and nowhere on it does it say NFR.

When I ordered the server combo I remember seeing that the board included U320 on it. Now it says that it does not.

Anyone going to dispute this or what?

Already been discussed here or elsewhere, no SCSI. Click on the link below, scroll down for photo. See that big square green spot? That is where the SCSI would be if it were on the board. I think they will tell you that you can take it or leave it when you're there. I asked about a possible trade/upgrade for another Tyan board. This is the reponse, so unless you can pull the sword from the stone, I think you're SOL.

"Regarding your question, you cannot exchange it. The bundle is set in stone
and not something that can be modified."

whenever someone comes up with pics, i'll host them.... and so you can do it on your own and not wait for me.... http://www.goatinatree.com/upload

I've upped the limit to 20mb, so there should be plenty of space for large pics.... I'll put them in a stand along gallery if someone wants after they are uploaded.

You're buying $1500 or so worth of hardware/software for $500 and you're worried about a $5-10 dinner? :D

:D

OK, please, please forgive my laziness, but I don't want to read through all of this for my simple question.

I have ordered the Desktop Bundle and will need a new PCI-E video card to go with it. I was going to order one from Newegg and thought I'd pose this question before I did in case there was a possibility of getting a better deal.

To those who have attended any of the shows so far, are any of the other sponsers (ATI, ASUS or MSI) offering deals or givaways at the shows?

Hey Garlic, get over it. What exactly do you need a picture for? Have you never been to a conference room before? People have posted plenty of links to all products that are being offered with detailed specs. Do you really need pictures of a bunch of guys standing around hearing about new products? Or was it pictures of the meal you are after?

I'm only buying this because I'm on the 754 pin motherboard.. so I'll get the 939 chip, upgrade to an SLI motherboard and sell all my old parts and recoup my money :)

I didn't hear anyone mention this. Is tax charged on the bundles? If so, it would kind of kill the deal for me.

No, its not. But why would it matter? That money goes to fund the country that you call home.

I wish they would come to Orlando again. Kind of stunk because the first year they did it, I couldn't stay for the whole thing and found out my ticket number was called as a winner for a cpu/mobo combo. :(
