I like both, and prefer each for different situations.

Soup & chips = regular.

Sub or Sandwich & chips = Kettle.

I like this answer. the cost of kettle chips generally steers me towards classic/plain Lays. something like that.

If I could only have one chip it would probably be doritos. I guess that's regular? I haven't had fresh kettle chips but I've had freshly made potato chips. Those are tasty. Taro chips are hard to find but they're pretty tasty too.

Haven't seen zapp's in the store.

Actually, there's a chip I can recommend pretty highly.

Trader Joe's sells a 'hawaaian' chip that's sort of kettle, 'sweet and tangy bbq'.

It has an intense bbq, a great flavor, but is a bit spicier than I like - but not too bad.

Interesting, apparently there are kettle baked Doritos-type tortilla chips on the market.

Those are pretty good, but a Dorito still tastes better. I love the Kettle brand potato chips, but the tortilla chips don't quite make the cut.
