Kettle cooked, in lard, not vegetable oil.

Then you must not be eating good kettle chips
This. A proper kettle-cooked chip should feel like it's oozing with delicious salty oil when it's chewed. Just the slightest hint of browning, and a little bit translucent.

Yup. And with malt vinegar drizzled over...

*Sigh*... beautiful.

i like both.
If i can find a good bag of kettle chips i could eat the whole bag in 1 sitting.
but finding a good bag seems difficult lately.

Definitely Kettle. Major bias since I get paid to make Kettle chips.

Regular. I find the vast majority of kettle chips I've tried to be very hard where it borderlines on painful to eat. And I'm not going to go on a try and buy spree to work out which ones might be good. When it comes down to it, I'm just going to reach for good 'ok reliable ruffles.

I used to love buying NY Deli kettle chips in Manhattan. Though I haven't eaten them since Wise bought out the company.

EDIT: After some research, NY Deli chips were manufactured by Borden (parent company to Wise) and first appeared in 1986. The packages only started carrying the Wise label in the last decade.

Kettle cooked mesquite BBQ chips are better than practically anything.

These used to be my favorite, though other kettle brands are pretty good:

Poll needs Pringles, they're not regular chips, I love Kettle but I can easily destroy an entire canister of Pringles.

Would Pringles even sell if they didn't come in cans?

They're too fragile to come in anything else, hell even in a can you'll still get ones where a lot of the crisps are broke. But they taste gooood and nothing else tastes close to them. The Cheese 'Ummm's are great.
