All the coffee and soda machines here don't require money today. That's our company's Christmas bonus to all the employees.

I guess we know where you'll be spending your afternoon!! Maybe you should post this in Hot Deals!! Get yourself a box and you have soda for the next year!!

I have received only one christmas bonus in my life. I was working for a printing company and the owner gave everybody a $25.00 gift certificate at Kroger.

honestly, not to brag, but i have worked at this engineering firm for a little over 6 months and i get a bonus every 3 months (set times during the year). my first bonus was $150, but i only worked there for 1 month (i started in last month of the second trio). my next bonus, after 4 months working, was $800. since it is based off of your salary, and i got a raise, my next bonus (sometime this week) will be a little over $1000.

now for the kicker...im 18 and working at this place around college 😉

worst bonus is nothing when i was working temp jobs in high school.
i actually got bonuses as a paperboy back in 7th grade though, some families were nice enough to give me $20-$25 holiday tip.
right now i'm expecting a bonus of around $1200 on my next paycheck.

For Thanksgiving I got a $10 GC to the grocery store. For X-Mas I got a $20 GC to Wal-Mart.

We are a large company so any bonus that's company wide amounts to a large amount. I've been here three years. IIRC, I've gotten the same thing every year. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick!

2 years ago i was working tech support, the day before christmas (23) They gave me a certificate for doing a good job all year. I took my boss to the break room and tore it into little strips and tried to feed them into the dollar bill port on the coke machine. When they didn't go I said next time give me cash.

Didn't work for them much longer after that. All the middle managers got bonuses, and they never did anything.
like a gift certificate or just a meaningless piece of paper?

btw, nice!

A printed out piece of paper saying how much the company appreciated me being there for so long and working so hard.

Ummm and this qualifies as your worst bonus as the thread title suggests in what way?

Well, I don't get my bonus until February so I'm not sure if it counts as a Christmas bonus. Last year it was $3k though.

My worst bonus was a bite-size Snickers and a "good job" a few years back. Very cheap company I used to work for in CT.

Back in the mid 80's, I ran a press in a machine shop. The Man gave us $250 every Christmas for a bonus. After receiving said bonus, much revelry occured. I hooked up with a sweetie from the shipping dept and went to a local tavern to celebrate the season a bit.

She gave me the crabs.

This being a direct result of the bonus, I deem this my worst bonus ever. The cooties are the gift that keeps on giving however so it was in keeping with the best traditions of the season.

Should have past them on.

Where the hell do you guys live that your employers are sooooo cheap ?

I live in Connecticut, every place I have worked for over the years including all the car dealerships I have wrenched at handed out Christmas bonuses.

Maybe you should post your age and length of employment as well 😉

Age:39

Length of Employment: 10

Bonus is pronounced BONE-US where I work.

My Boss would make scrooge look like Ghandi.

I'm a software developer for Kodak. They don't do christmas bonuses.
Although we do get a wage dividend bonus every year in May.
This year, it was 7.5% of the annual salary. It generally ranges from 2% to 8%, depending on company performance.

My boss did give us gift certs to Cinemark. But that was an individual gift, not company paid or anything.
