Post your worst Chrismas bonus

Well, if you call pen sets w/ the company logo a Christmas bonus, I've gotten that. And occasionally we get something small from the boss, but that's out of the boss's pocket and not the company's. Last year, they were charging for the company Christmas party, until noone was showing up ($15/head).

Last year at the dot.com i worked for, i didn't get ANYTHING.
not even a card.

We had bought a new building, and i literally rewired the entire building so we could have our network running in 1 week. I spent 9am until 11pm for 6 days straight to get this done.

I didn't even get a thanks for that.

my boss was a cheap ass prick who has no ethics....i wasn't surprised.

thsi year at my work i don't expect anything...it would be nice, but i probabl don't get anything here either.

We each get a lotto ticket - we're a small not for profit - so I guess it's all we really expect these days.....

I (knock on wood) have been pretty fortunate. Been with the same company for the past 4.5 yrs. outta college, and their standard Christmas bonus is always 1 weeks pay. So my 'worst' X-Mas would be the first year with the company, since my salary was the lowest then.

Last year. I'm a contractor, so my company handed out a laptop carrying bag (I don't own a laptop), a pen with the company logo, and a shirt with the company logo.

I gave the shirt and bag away to co-workers, I kept the pen.

Seven thousand dollars was my best and the company even paid my income tax.

All the coffee and soda machines here don't require money today. That's our company's Christmas bonus to all the employees.

hmm, to all the people answering "not getting a bonus", I don't think you qualify for this thread. (I've been there so I can say this)

my worst was a frozen turkey, sucker was huge though (like 16-17 pounds)

Before my mom's company was bought out by a bigger one, she would get $5,000/Christmas.

I have never, ever gotten a Christmas bonus.

I once worked for a true sweatshop. This was the kind of place where your raise was about 50 cents/hour if you were one of the top people! At our Christmas party the boss gave out "door prizes" which were a bunch of random items he squeezed out of his suppliers to avoid having to spend any of his own money.

Some of the fine items awarded included reams of copy paper, boxes of Bic pens and 20-packs of toilet paper. We were all sitting there hoping not to win the toilet paper just to avoid having to schlep it back to the car afterwards.

16, A little over a year at a local screen printing shop (my first job). This year I got $25 and last year I got $20 for a Christmas bonus.

2 years ago i was working tech support, the day before christmas (23) They gave me a certificate for doing a good job all year. I took my boss to the break room and tore it into little strips and tried to feed them into the dollar bill port on the coke machine. When they didn't go I said next time give me cash.

Didn't work for them much longer after that. All the middle managers got bonuses, and they never did anything.

Oh come on. SOMEONE wanted to win that 20 pack of TP so they can wing it all over the building and/or your boss's car.

like a gift certificate or just a meaningless piece of paper?

I haven't gotten one in years. Usually they're a gift certificate to a grocery store. Funny, but my apartments gives me a $25 gift certificate every year. LoL

I got $400 cash from my boss the first year at my current job. The last 2 years: Zip. At least he's giving us Christmas through January 4th off with pay this year, if nothing else.
