Post your worst Chrismas bonus

For me it was back in '84 while working for Robertshaw controls, on Christmas eve as all the employess were exited the building at the end of our shift (yes they made us work) the manager handed out $1.00 off coupons for Carvel ice cream :disgust:

What's the worst bonus you have recieved ?

McDonald's, baby.

I got $100 this time, and a big basket of apples and candy. Of course, I work every day, and I work extra on the holidays.

People that work 9-5 5 days a week with holidays *suck*. :p

Getting laid off, so I bet all of you. I've never had, nor do I really ever expect to have (most people I know don't receive one), a christmas bonus.

A Honey Baked Ham. I thought it was pretty chincy until I picked it up. The thing was huge and tasted great. Still I always prefered cash

Man that was more of an insult than any kind of bonus

$0, nothing, nada...because the company was on "lean times"

And then finding out that the execs received 5-10% of their respective salaries :|

Since then and every year afterwards everyone (except the execs) receives $20 Cub Foods gift certificates.

Where the hell do you guys live that your employers are sooooo cheap ?

I live in Connecticut, every place I have worked for over the years including all the car dealerships I have wrenched at handed out Christmas bonuses.

Maybe you should post your age and length of employment as well ;)

When I lived in Montana a friend of mine worked in a dealer garage. For a bonus they received a half side of beef and a tube of Copenhagen! :Q

tube= something like 10 cans.

My best Christmas bonus, I recieved four weeks pay and a set of SNAP-ON box wrenches when I worked for Automotive Engineering. (Engine rebuilding shop)

I got a $10 gift card for Circle Electric when I was working for a contractor. About all that buys there is a wire stripper or about 20' of cable.

Now I work for a bank, and get between $250 - $500 cash. :)

23 year old, 6 1/2 years employed here.

My company doesn't give out Christmas bonuses...which sucks. We have gotten christmas gifts in the past that usually amounted to gift certificates to local malls. Our company isn't doing as well as we would like, so this year, they gave us left over pillows from our retail manufacturing gig. I guess it was better than nothing...

One up you Skoorb:(
Got let go after coming back from a two week vacation the day before X-Mass.

Plane tickets purchased for a business trip were non-refundable. Took 2 months to get reembursed for them.
