Post your "Why I got negative feedback on eBay" story...

I've got 2,

1st one was over a computer part, guy won the bid & didn't contact me for weeks, I filed a non paying bidder complaint & he left me negative feedback

2nd one was over a Pronto Remote, I had an accurate description, but the buyer somehow thought I meant brand new when I wrote refurbished & used by me for 6 months.

🙁

100% positive feedback for me 41 out of 41. However I have at least 15 more auctions, it's just that some bastards don't leave feedback like they should.

I have 2 nuetral, both from half.com users who thought media mail was 2-3 days and bitched when it took a week.

I have one neutural and one positive, no negatives. Scumbag wouldnt leave me feedback after I gave him a positive. I contacted him after a couple weeks and he gave me some judge of character bs so I told him off and he left me a neutaral. Bastard. BTW dont deal with bsnelling.

I'm a ebay Power Seller with 98.7% Positive Feedback Rating

461 positives
6 negatives

I only remember 2 of them pissing me of, one was a 16yr old girl that did not pay & the other was a guy that left a negitive only because I left him a negitive.

I've got 3 negative, first two where when I won items and one item didn't arrive for almost a month and the guy wouldn't reply to my email during that month so I left negative and he retaliated.

Second one was similar, I got the item and it didn't work the seller never replied to my email I left negative and they retaliated.

Third and most recent, I sold my car, listed everything that I knew wrong with, the guy that won the auction came and inspected it before he even paid me. Said he was happy with it paid me and went on his way, two weeks later he leaves negative saying he sold the car to someone else because I sold it to him with a cracked block.

All three times were petty and stupid, but I didn't get to mad I've still got something like 98.9% positive feedback.

what in the heck are you guys selling on ebay? Man...i have under 30 positives and could never imagine selling 400 of ANYTHING!

I sell soiled underwear in Windows XP boxes.

25+ with one negative.

Two years ago I sold this tiny Nokia phone (model 8820?) and I mentioned in my ad that it was used on Cincinnati Bell network, which is an AT&T network, but I said that I had no guarantees except that it works for Cincy Bell.

Some dude in Arizona bought it and it didn't work with AT&T out there. He called my house and talked to my parents (I was 17 at the time) and said that he was Christian and he is going to let the $85 slide, but he hopes the devil lets me sleep ok at night or some BS like that.

I was laughing all the way to the bank 😉 Except the damn single negative he left me.

I have a neutral feedback...*Sigh* I bought a game, and the guy said I paid him late. We cross-shipped, and he got the money two days after I got the game. I don't understand why people make things worse than they really are just because they're on the internet. If we did the deal face-to-face, I doubt that I would've gotten this feedback...

Can't change it, so whatever.

Sold a guy a phone, he said it was missing a piece. I know it wasnt. I offered to ship him a new phone. NO. I offered to refund him his money after he sent me the phone back. No. The only thing he would accept was if I refunded his money, plus shipping back, plus some pain and suffering money or some BS like that. I told him to have a nice day.

I've got 2 negative out of 211 total.........one was an item that was broken in shipment. Did the buyer ever contact me about the item? NO! Just left a negative.....what a bum. The other couldn't read the auction description that said "What you see pictured is what you get...nothing else." and became upset the instruction sheet wasn't included despite the fact I specifically stated that it wasn't Go figure.

At least both negs were over 2 years ago....time has a way of softening them.

Bump for the morning crowd.

My 2 negatives did pi$$ me off, but I'm back to 99% positive.

All positive feedback: 258
Members who left a negative: 2
members who left a positive: 191

I think I have 1 neutral, had 2, but the 2nd guy got booted (along with his feedback), loved his nickname, "ihatecows".

I sell all kinds of crap on ebay, lots of it is stuff I use for a while after a hot deal & just resell it if I don't like it, don't use it as much as I thought. Have ~5 FRS radios to dump, since everyone in the family has cell phones & extra batteries, we never use the radios anymore.

Got ~50% of my feedback when we liquidated my wife's dead ex's Magic cards, hundreds of magic cards, thought I'd go mad trying to list them all & keep it straight, I listed all of them worth >$5 seperately & then sold the commons as a group.

I have 1 from a guy who's rating is now -1, he got time extensions to get his paypal cleared from his bank accout, 3 weeks later I reported him to e-bay and left him negative, he gave me one too. he was new when he bid on mine, he bought the same exact thing a day later from someone else, it's the only positive he had, he got one - from someone else the same week for trolling.

1 neg, because I listed an item that I said was over 4 years old and I did not know the working status of, then they got mad becuase it didn't work very well. (And I gave refund)
