I got my first negative because the winning bidder went insane when she found out she had to pay for shipping...the thing is, she already had like 7 positive feedbacks, so I don't understand what would lead her to believe I would take the hit on shipping for her dumb ass..

I used to quickly leave positive feedback, after I got burned, I don't give feedback till they've left me some.

Sold a Dishnetwork IRD a few weeks ago, taped the remote to the back of the IRD (it's a big remote, he couldn't have gotten to the IRD without untaping it), the buyer emailed me claiming he didn't get the remote... I asked him to check the packing material, he threatened to leave negative feedback unless I Paypal'd him some $ to make up for the missing remote, I told him I'd leave him negative feedback as well. He emailed me ~2 weeks later claiming his wife went through the packing material & found it, and left me positive feedback.

I have one negative. It was for backing out on a deal for baseball cards. I have never and I will never be interested in baseball cards. The seller said he goofed and would have the negative taken care of. Three years later, it is still there. The seller didn't know who I was when I first contacted him about it.

130 positives and 1 neg. I had dutch auction for 5 DirecTv receivers. I clearly stated that they were used but were working perfectly.

Well 4 out of the 5 were completely happy. The other guy thought they were new or something and wanted his money back. I said no that I clearly stated the condition of the item. He left a neg. Oh well.

I have left several negs and neutrals. I don't play that ebay feedback game. If a neg is warranted they get one. I don't care about retaliation.

778/0/1 866 positives total
99.9% positive

The only negative I've gotten is from a guy who was running a scam on
selling laptops and having a buddy of his in the post office do the scanning
of the shipments and then letting the seller walk out of the post office
with the goods.

After I filed my insurance claim they found out they had a problem with the
particular post office and after an investigation the postmaster wrote me and
let me know what happened. I got my insurance refund from the post office
and the postal worker and the ebay seller both got busted.

I left negative for him and he retailated. I guess he must have got bailed out
and posted after he got out of jail :)

I bought Star Trek DS9 Season 2 off an Ebay seller.. He stated "brand new, sealed in box" and had a picture. Nowhere in the auction did he mention that the entire bar code area was ripped off the packaging. Now I have DS9 Season 2 with a nasty piece of the box ripped out. It looks horrible.

When I got the item and complained, the seller stated "You got what was in the picture." Of course, though, it was NOT brand new, sealed.

I planned to leave negative feedback, but after a month or two, I forgot about it and accidentally posted a positive. GRR. That guy deserved a negative.

I've actually had two accounts on ebay in my time. I don't remember the feedback on the first, it was along time ago. I don't remember having any negatives on it though.

My current one has one negative and 15 positives. These were all purchases. The one negative I deserved, I bid on an item and decided I did not want it for some reason. So I ignored the emails. I did not retaliate because I got what was coming to me. I don't even remember what it was, or why I changed my mind now because it was several years ago. And the user is listed as 'no longer a registered user'. I either didn't like the looks of the seller after the fact, perhaps I'd bid to quickly and hadn't looked at his feedback yet...or maybe the item didn't turn out to be what I was really looking for after I researched it a bit more. It was a computer part whatever it was, thats pretty much all I've ever bought.

I ought to have left a negative on 'legend-micro' after the almost month worth of hassle and phone calls I made to get my stuff to me. But I did get my item, they left me positive feedback and I can understand how things might have got confusing when I sent them a personal check. (They listed personal checks as a payment method.) So I just didn't leave any feedback.

Most feedback I see nowadays is usually from people who didn't read the ad and are pissed because they were expecting to get a laptop for $1.50 and instead got a burned CD about laptops.

I have one neutral. Some guy from canada with zero feedback and two bid rectracts in the last week sniped my item. I stated in the auction that anyone wanting to big with less than 10 feedback should email me first, otherwise I'd reject the bid. I told him I was not going to sell to him, as I stated in the auction. He acted like he didn't understand english, and sent an MO anyway. I returned his MO out of principle, and relisted the item. After he got angry with me on email, I left him some neutral that said: "Did not sell item for lack of feedback, as was stated in auction". He left neutral back.

I recently bid on a Dark Age of Camelot account and what I didn't realize was that the guy was a scammer in game and I did not want any part of having that account. So I told him nicely that I would offer to pay for his listing fee and still leave good feedback in the interest of both parties.

He sends email after email about how "dishonorable" I am and that I wouldn't really pay and I would leave negative feedback, etc. I finally said, well "thanks for proving my point" and I will forward the correspondence to ebay. The guy already had 2 negative feedback due to his inability to ship items previously but I wasn't totally swayed till some friends said he is a scammer.

Now he will probably leave negative feedback and I will have to as well in retaliation. Why are people such idiots? I gave him the opportunity to get paid back for his listing AND get positive feedback.

I have a 172/0/0 rating on the evil Ebay. here have been a few times where buyers have decided that "I will pay you when I feel like it!" and really deserved negative. I have never left a neg, not because of a fear of retaliation but because I have, for the most part dealt with really nice people. It's Ebay's rising rates and the fact that they us us (customers) to police THEIR business (and they ignore you when you report violations) that burns me up.

so far, I only buy on ebay, i have 63, all positive, which prolly mean I bought like 200 things in the past 5 years. I avoided getting negative once, I didn't have a CC for an auction I won, and I missed that in the fine print in the header he only took cc's. I apologized and didn't get feedback.

Back in the good olde days I left neg feedback once, one guy was cashing out his reputation and selling things he had no intention of shipping to the buyer, I lost 30 bucks, in 2 weeks, he racked up like 9 negatives. This was before they required the seller to put down a CC.

I'll be leaving my first semi-negative feedback early next week. Seller advertised a product. I payed him. Seller shipped 7 days later. What ticks me off most is that the seller advanced FEDEX one of "notice to ship" or "intent to ship"...whatever TF it's called. Made it LOOK like it shipped, when in fact it didn't.

What still remains to be seen is if I indeed get what I paid for. We'll find out Tuesday. :/

I have 168/0/0....learned early on that feedback is only left after buyer leaves feedback or else you can get burned, happened to my wife twice by the same bitchy woman.

Yeah, I never leave feedback until after they do. Sure, that means sometimes no feedback gets left...but it beats giving them a positive and having a neg dropped on you after the fact.
