You look totally different that I thought you would. You'd think I would have seen a pic of you before now. I remember seeing your girl, though. Weird. Nice pic. :)

dquan97 - I love the obligatory ass shot. EVERYone needs one of those! lol

Koing - You look really good. My man is trying to lose weight/buff up. If you don't mind me asking...how tall are you? He's about 5'10" or so and I don't know how much he lifts, but it's mainly just to stay healthy. When we first met, he weighed about 145. He weighs maybe 160 now? I'm not sure. He wants to lose weight and I think he was wanting to make his arms and chest bigger.

Thanks.

<-- use to be rake thin but I was always active with sports though.

I'm 5'10" also like your bf and I weigh 179.96 (yeah accurate but I had student Weight Lifiting Champs on Saturday).

Key to bigger arms and chest is squats

Simple to get bigger/ stronger. Just takes time in training and eat 'sensibly' and that is all.

My mum dropped 15lbs and is 45 and is 100-110lbs @ 5'5. She swims 3-4x a week though and only learnt how to swim about 6 months ago :) Women in Cambodia don't learn how to swim!

Just curious... what did you think I'd look like?

I honestly don't know. A pencil-necked geek? ;) Don't know. You're handsome though. I remember seeing pics of your girl a long time ago, but I don't remember seeing pics of you. I'd post new pics of Tim, but he's not home yet. :)

DAYUM! That's cool. Just watching that last one makes my knees hurt! lol (I've had chondromalacia [softening of the patella] since I was 15 and before weight problems.) I'll have to tell Tim about squats. He works out twice a week at his work. They have a tiny rec room and they have only like one treadmill, an exercise bike, a weight bench (don't know what kind of weights), and one other machine along with a ping pong table. LOL When I start feeling better, I'll start working out with him. :)

Thanks.

Can't wait until I finish my studies (one Final report to go and 3 exams) then I can train properly.

Next year I hope to qualify for the British U23 Nationals if things go well. Then to keep on training and hit my dream of the big 3-0-0Kb total (I give myself 8yrs) and do some international competitions :)

Haha, really? I've come to the conclusion most everyone has a friend that looks like me.

Yeah definatley remind me of one of my friends. I call him Mr P. Cool but very quirky guy.

hzl eyed grl yeah training is cool. I love it. Knees are fine as you build up to it and warm up, stretch and train yourself to lift heavy. I started with just the 20Kg bar and built up. No one goes and lifts heavy first time that is asking for injuries!

Training together is great for people and couples :)

You should do squats. Go down slow and and up. Go as low as you can. I can gurantee it will be good for your knees. It will strengthen your bones and knee joint definately.

My coach has had people with chronic knee problems and other stuff. He gets him to do squats and to go as low as they can. After a while they feel much better and their knees are much more comfortable. Of course you don't SMASH DOWN like in the videos but that is the nature of the lifts.

Just do them nice, slow and controlled with no weights at first and then build up.

I have tried to do mini-squats and I can't go down very far...but I can go down some. I have osteo-arthritis in my left knee--the one I had surgery on--and that one creaks like some bad wood Flooring. LOL I swear I'm only 29, but I feel about 89. :p Tim is very supportive of me so it helps a lot. Actually....my dog is whining......Speak of the devil. Tim's home. lol When we come home our dog goes crazy!

dmcowen674 - Thanks. I can't speak for Jean, but thank you. :)
