Damn those p4 users and ther pc800 (and fkloster's pc1000 :)) ram... those mem bandwith numbers are insane.

Nox-
I had some trouble w/ Sandra 2001 + win2k also. Upon launching it would give an error and just lockup. The only thing I could do is restart the system to get it back to normal... no process kills would do anything. Anyway, all I did is download a fresh copy and install it again and it works Ok... i still get some errors but nothing that prevents me from running sandra.

ragiepew,

I don't know what the problem is, I tried reinstalling it four times and it still restarts my comp every time. I was forced to down grade to 2000. Anyway, PM me if you got any suggestions, I don?t want to pollute this thread with my problems.

Man thats really really bad for PC133 (Checked your system profile) You should be atleast in the high 400s low 500s even with CLS3. Tweak your BIOS options I would say.

I got no problem with Sandra memory bandwidth under win2000, using BX mobo.

My scores for an Athlon @ 1017mhz (113*9.0) and 128mb Mushkin rev2 @ 150mhz cas2:

CPU
Dhrystone: 2849mips
Whetstone: 1393mflops

Multimedia
MMX: 5735
3dnow!: 6330

Memory
ALU: 534mb/s
FPU: 624mb/s

Nox- sorry man, dont know anything else about fixing it. It still locks on me once in a while but after reinstalling it, most of the time it starts.

AMD T-Bird 900
256 MB Crucial pc133 cas2 Ram
Memory: 434/540

CPU: 2487/1233

CPU Multimedia: 5013/6081

Is it just me or should my memory scores be higher?? Does overclocking help the memory scores that much?

That sounds right, remember that the sandra mem benchmarks does not only do memory, but cache speed as well. So having a 1.2GHZ athlon Vs 900mhz athlon.. well the cache is a different speed./ 1.2 is faster... therefore the 1.2 will win. Another to help give higher scores is running a higher bus speed... but I would not recomend doing that.. as your HD may thrash a lot more.

T-Bird 700 @ 903 (9.5x95) + 256MB PC133 CAS3

CPU
2848/1257

MM
3067/4215

Memory
389/487

My memory scores seem slower than a lot of other peoples - is there a tweak or something that would get it higher?

Hmm.....how'd u get up to 500+mb/s?
Mine only goes up to 330mb/s max with crucial pc133 128 ram cl2
running under win me with duron 600@900 8.5*106 with kt7 raid mobo
is there a tweak to increase the mem banwidth?

speaking of memory, I just added a third DIMM( Mushkin mosel rev2pc133) Why the hell would my mem scores go down? I am running WPCREDIT, and went back in and enabled banks 5 and 6. I think I lost about 75 points from Sandra 2001. Even tried the "overclockers bios"( with much trepidation) and only saw a very small improvement.

Supposingly I have Toshiba Cas 2 ram but I dont believe the place where i bought it? When i do the benchmark I get lower results when I put it at cas2 than when I put it at auto in the msi motherboard options. And I do not get even close to the results as the otehr cas 2. Is is because Im running win2000

lol, when looking at your benches AMDEmAll, I notice that the P4 in the CPU benches (not multimedia), the P4 cheats! it says Winstone FPU/SSE2 in there, and the FPU score simply sucks @ss (it says 895, compared to 1363 for the Athlon), but with SSE2 enabled, it's at the top.

what a cheap, piece of crap that program is, bending to Intels will like that.

Here's my results:

Duron 600@1035Mhz (9x115, and yes, it IS stable 24/7 at 100% load :))
256M cas-2 @153Mhz (115 + 38)
Abit kt7-raid mobo
Running win2k

-CPU-
ALU = 2911
FPU = 1433

-CPU MultiMedia-
Integer = 5850
Floating point = 6493

-MEMORY-
ALU = 557
FPU = 627

Not bad for a $80CDN chip :))

Wow.. some of you folks have some nice memory scores..

here's mine:

1.2ghz @ 1.2ghz

cpu:
3389/1663

cpu multimedia:
6778/8254

memory :(
491/576 @ 2-2-2/133mhz :(

------------------------------------
Little overclocking test I ran:

1.2ghz @ 1.36ghz----

cpu:
3764/1836

cpu multimedia:
7599/9256

memory:
550/646

at this config it only ran for 10 minutes before falling apart tho..

back to the old drawing board.. :)
