My phone has a feature that most of you guys' phones don't have. Tactical response technology, aka buttons.

😛

That keyboard is the reason I don't really text. I got the phone for free so can't complain. It was my work phone and I got to keep it as a personal given the contract was done. I did not get a data plan so it's quite useless given it does not even have wifi.

My next phone will probably be an android but I'm going to wait till this one stops working. I don't really want to get a data plan as while it's cool and all, I just can't justify the cost.

No idea how to take a screenshot of my phone. :hmm:

KT

SGS2 = hold menu button + power button for screenshot.

This has now become a native application for ICS. (it's been billed as a google feature with ICS, but I'm pretty sure Samsung developed it first, with the SGS2. Not surprising, then, that the first ICS phone is a Samsung phone)

:hmm:

yours is the non-international version, though. So I'm not sure if you ahve the same menu button functionality.

what control bar is that for wifi/etc. controls?

and how do you ppl get screenshots of the homescreen... seems like it's a 1-click thing I'm not figuring out?

Also, how do you people tell right away it's ICS? I just got onboard so not familiar with older versions.

ICS = the native, buttonless home buttons you see at the bottom.

screenshot is now native with ICS (homescreen + power button). The international SGS2 was the first Android phone to do it, I'm not sure if they built other Gingerbread, or Honeycomb devices prior to the Nexus that do it.

SGS2 wasn't the first Android phone with native screenshot. SGS1 had the capability with 2.2 Froyo. So did the original 7" Galaxy Tab. It's feature added to TouchWiz by Samsung starting with Froyo. Of course Samsung stole the feature from Apple iOS.

Yeah I can't seem to get it to work. Mine is the equivalent of the T-Mobile version you Americans get.
