AmusedOne I once got a score on 3DMark 2000 of 18,703 with a PIII@1015 and a Voodoo 5 when most of the time I was getting scores of around 500.I don't know how I did it and couldn't even come close to duplicating it ever again.BTW MadOnion is suppose to be high perfomance benchmarking why are there servers so painfully inadequate?:|

3DMark 18,703 with a PIII@4204

CPU - 5617 - P4 1.8A @ 2.3Ghz (128FSB), 1.6v

Memory - 5362 - 2 x 512Mb Corsair PC2700 XMS @ 340Mhz, CAS2, 2.5v

HDD - 839 - Maxtor 40Gb D740X, ball bearing, @ ATA100

It reports my CPU speed at 2.25Ghz even though it picks up the correct FSB. Something's screwy in their calculations.

CPU 4399 --> P4 1.8A (not overclocked)
MEM 3883 --> Crucial PC2100 DDR
HDD 589 --> WD 20GB 7200 RPM ATA/66

I'm disappointed....🙁

I wouldn't be. For a non-overclocked system, it seems to be on par with mine. I just wonder why our HD scores are so low?

5643-1.6@2.3
4949-512 Crucial
680-IBM 60gxp

damn IBM- time to get a WD JB.

One thing to note. My memory scores are lower when overclocked.

<< damn IBM- time to get a WD JB. >>

My score right above your post is an 80GB 120GXP. 🙂

OK-
damn IBM 60gxp- Time to get a WD JB or a 120GXP 🙂

Ran the test again.

5617 cpu
5176 mem
685 hd

Doesn't look consistant to me.

P4 Dominates big time..my score was at 202Mhz FSB CL2! I know the Ali Magik 1 isn't the best performing chipset around but it's getting wasted by P4's DDR Ram at only 140ish mhz FSB? Doesn't sound right to me..

That depends furor...At 140fsb on my board I can run a 4:5 ratio and thus I am running 350mhz ddr or slightly above pc2700 states, thus my bandwidth score in sandra are at 2600...MOst iwll boards are not pushing that when running 333mhz ddr...

Edit: Did you rerun it with all that crap turned off??? Maybe it will get better....

At a 132 fsb (CPU/Memory Ration - 3:4 for 176mhz), 1.6A @ 2112 Crucial DDR2100 256meg stick.

Hopefully my new supply will be here tomorrow and I will see if I can hit 155-160 stable.

Anyway here are my scores

CPU:5107
Memory:5129
HD:1019

That appears to be 3DMark2000. Not 2K1.

Here are some marks I got at 1.8@2.574ghz (143fsb)

CPU: 6261
MEM: 526x (funny that why my sandra scores increased I didn't get much gain in this score)
HDD: 919

This speed ran bench twice and sandra benches but has not ran prime95...I will need1.8v at least and maybe a more steady power supply...My 2.538ghz seems like it will barely pass prime with 1.8v...

Well, I've been reading Mad Onion's message boards. It appears that Mad Onion knows that PC Mark has many bugs and are supposedly going to fix them. They are aware of it displaying wrong CPU clocks, and even the wrong CPU entirely. They are also aware of some people getting outrageously high scores.

FYI, the highest score is now 43,000. A complete impossibility. I hope they flush all the old scores, and start fresh once they fix the bugs.

It is but what I'm trying to say is look at the scores,a voodoo5 and a PIII couldn't get that kind of score.I didn't fake it the program just puked and there the score was.Maybe the top score with a Celeron was a new program that puked😉
