The Democrats aren't reinventing themselves when there's an entire right-wing media sphere defining them, and a mainstream media that has completely lost any moral compass whatsoever.

Sure let's just keep blaming the Democrats and not the two main things that got us here. A fucking old white man named Biden who's fucking ego fucked us. And the fact the Democrats have to constantly fight against that media sphere.

Then it's over.

And this is even before we see what sort of laws the GOP passes to legally enshrine their power even more.

Some of them resisted, but overrall Trump normalized criminality and being a treasonous douchebag with their assistance. With the tribal nature of how things are, ugh.

I don't blame them as much as I do the delusional morons that actually voted for the guy, but they can still all go to hell.

Let's see how long Trump survives. I don't mean politically.

That prick Vance is of course terrible, but at least he's controlled by Thiel and not Putin.

Winning is not a matter of the person running. It is a matter of whether the person running has real knowledge and whether the voters are knowledgeable enough to recognize and vote for such a person. As Democrats are by enlarge ignorant of the things that matter and Democrat voters fall right in line, what happens in 2028 will be the result of accidental circumstances that happen between now and then. Ignorance of one kind or another will win. Nobody seeks wisdom who does not know he or she is a fool. I only see one fool around here. Can you imagine how ashamed he must be for being the worlds biggest idiot? You know who I mean, right?

Maybe some of the cult members will wake the fuck up as to what they have done, when inflation is double digits, unemployment is double digits, their income tax rate increases, so the rich can get a cut, they lose their healthcare or are unable to afford it, the price of groceries rises faster than inflation because the people that have been working in farming are in concentration camps awaiting deportation, and any entitlements such as food stamps no longer exists.

They will relish in the fact the government has ruled that their possession (formally called a wife) is official classified as a brood mare and must obey without question.

Naw, I'm kidding, they will be blaming it on Hillary, Biden, and Harris.

This will never happen as the RW media ecosystem has built a cocoon around them. One of two things will happen:

1). Dems get the blame

2). Or they will flat out deny that it's even happening

And in either case, it will work and voters will vote for them.

The think you fail to notice is that they voted as they did because they actually are in hell. Never in a million years would a happy person vote for Trump.

Being controlled by Thiel doesn't make me feel any better! LOL

@MrSquished has touched on this, but this article describes it in terrifying detail. The RW media ecosystem they have built is a monster at this point. Have Dems even realized this? Even if they have, the GOP spent 30+ years working towards this. Do you think the feeble Dems will be able to counter this in just one election cycle? Especially with a slimy establishment guy like Newsom?

That's why I say set your sights on 2060. It's over for this generation. Perception is reality and the GOP has a vice grip on it.

Not a fan of the puppet role for CiC at all, I'm just saying if it's another American that's marginally better than an American CiC serving a Russian dictator. I doubt Putin has anything to blackmail Vance with either.

I think people like Newsom, Beashear, Mayor Pete, they have clout with GenZ that can be built upon, maybe form a new political culture where presidential and midterms elections have similar participation levels that keep climbing. And I am completely open to a popular newcomer coming in too. My needs at this point are very low - I'll be happy with anyone who isn't a low IQ Russian asset with dementia.

God Damned, it’s not the right winged media, it’s the psychological ignorance of the people who want to believe it, just like it’s your own psychological ignorance that makes you want to believe it’s the RW media.

The think you failed to notice was my mention of perception. Unfortunately it's more than sadness, they're delusional. Much of what they believe is demonstrably false.

In reality, the economy is robust, inflation at 2%, and we not dealing with a PoTUS that politicizes pandemic or disaster responses, no preventable 9/11 like deathtolls every day or week under Biden, far as I know. Many red states benfit from Chips Act and IRA. Jobs report for last 4 years has no peer.

I don't think it's asking too much for people who feel like they are in hell to vote towards getting out, rather than, you know, moving in and buying curtains.

Once in a million of those years, that's the magnitude of the crocodile tear flood inbound. My quantum violin is on standby.

This thread seems way, way premature.

More curious as to exactly what horrors are going to be unleashed over the next 4 years. I suspect by 2028, assuming there's an election at all (though I don't think Trump will go full "Enabling law") the system will in some way-or-another be significantly (more) tilted in favour of whoever Trump's standard-bearer will be.

Maybe you haven't noticed that I have said over and over again that our world view is a delusion created by perception of difference bound to negative feelings. You can think all you like it’s not asking too much to for the miserable to wake up so they stop creating nightmares in your sleep just like you can piss into the wind, but resentment is not cured that way. Just saying, none of your contemptuousness is lost on me but it doesn’t ch@nge the fact that it useless. Wisdom is another word for love.

What the Dems need to represent them is a hardened criminal who is a narcissist, a chronic liar with a felony conviction record, a sex abuser and admitted racist and what should be of great help, that the person needed to have been shot and (allegedly) almost mortally wounded to prove their bravery under duress. That person should also be a proven moron, despised by his former close associates and the military's top echelon, hated by our NATO allies and most of all be a close and personal stooge of one Vlad Putin.

In this way millions upon millions of Republicans and independents will hop the fence and cross the aisle and become registered lifelong Democrats until the Republican party can come up with a person that's frighteningly worse than the idiot the Democrats could come up with.

I mean, hey, it really worked out well for the Republicans to elect a shithead like that so......../.s

Wait a sec.....for this to work for the Democrats they'd also need millions upon millions of clueless deplorables who vote and people like Marge Taylor Green, Ted Cruz, Jim Jordan, Mitch McConnel and.......ahhhh ferget it.

Bingo.

They're not going to "cancel elections." They will simply pass laws that enshrine/institutionalize their power even further, making it difficult for Dems to win or in the rare case they do, tough to govern or do anything at all. SCOTUS will make sure all legal challenges are extinguished.

Why do they want that? And please, not what they are for wanting it.
Probably because they've been convinced it's what they deserve. They've certainly been convinced that they shouldn't trust something better than that. Medicine is the enemy. Experts are not to be trusted. You don't deserve a functioning government.

Yes, Russia still has elections. Putins competition just seems to fall out of windows randomly

Because illegal Hatian immigrants are eating their cats and dogs and boys are participating in girls sports and prison inmates are getting sex changes every week depending on how masculine or feminine they feel that day.

I usually don't bother much with your posts moon, that is entirely possible.

Unfortunately the miserable won't be dealing with dreams, they'll be dealing with economic collapse and disenfranchisement the likes we've probably never seen. Good to see you're concerned about the important stuff, as usual.

You've confused the role of Greek chorus with that of a healer, so it's no wonder you're concerned with useless perspectives, you started out with one. Just saying.
