Wow, almost a whole page without anyone mentioning Paradigm.

Anyways, the current setup

Yamaha RXV 800
50" Hitachi (sp?) RPTV
Sony DVD player
Paradigm Monitor 7 v2 for Fronts,
Paradigm CC370 for centre channel
Paradigm LCR350 for rears.

Paradigm PS1000 Sub

Yes, I know Yamaha receiver + Paradigm is suppose to be a very bad combo, but hey, they sound good to my untrained ear so I am happy with the system.

For my room, I have the following
Yamaha HTR 5560
Paradigm Monitro 7 V1
Paradigm CC350
Paradigm Mini Montor
& Energy XL8 Sub.

Actually, it's just sitting there right now, I will eventually put it all together.

I love my Divas... they have a warm sound that I like, and they look good too. :) I got mine from av123, but they dropped the Diva line last year for Rocket Loudspeakers. Haven't heard those but they are quite popular at AVSForum. Divas are now sold by The Audio Insider.

Check out AudioEnvy for a chance to audition Divas/Rockets/SVS subs in your area...

I'm working on it, but for now, it's:

27" Sharp TV (to be upgraded this summer)
H/K 320
Panny RV-31 DVD (possible upgrade)
Paradigm Monitor 9s up front (might trade up to Studios this summer)
Klipsch Quints in the back (definite upgrade)
DIY Tempest Sonosub in the works.

Here are some crappy pictures I took early in the school year.

Here's my setup...

(TV+Sound)
65" HD Mitsubishi WS-65819
Klipsch Pro-Media 5.1s w/DD-5.1 Decoder
Klipsch 12" subwoofer KSW-12
Panasonic DVDRP82s - Monster cables linking everything
Audio Authority SP/DIF 4 port audio switch

(HTPC)
Skyhawk 4u IPC4032 Rackmount case
ASUS P4S8X - P4 2.12ghz (o/c 1.6a) - 512MB/DDR266 - Segate 40GB 7.2K + WD 200GB SE 8mb 7.2k HDs
16x Liteon DVDROM - SB 5.1 w/Drive I/O 2
ATI Radeon 8500LE 64mb
HiPix HD connected to TV with Audio Authority 9A60
CystalFontz 20x4 LCD
Logitech Cordless Freedom KB+optical mouse
Windows XP Pro SP1 running at 848x488 60hz (haven't had any luck getting anything but this res and some crazy high res @ 29hz that makes everything unreadable)

(Misc)
Playstation 2 connected with Monster component cable
Logitech wireless rumble pad

Even though the promedia's sound great, this setup is in my basement which is a pretty large room, so those little speakers have a hard time filling it... When I get some spare cash (not gonna be awhile since half the people in my house are doing temp jobs, or have seasonal jobs that haven't picked up yet) I'm going to get a better sound system... I love the way klipsch speakers sound so I will probably go with them and an HK/denon receiver...

Word to the unwise (like my stupid ass) don't play vice city with that damn radar turn on, I'm starting to get burn in on my hdtv from that ring :( You can only really see it when that part of the screen is mostly a single bright color, but I know it is there and it drives me nuts...

Agreed, they have a good musical tonality with them, and they're often compared to B&W's. I picked up the 4.1's for $400/pair and R3's for $350/pair (both B-stock), C3 was like $400 (which i regret now, I usually go phantom center...). Comparisons with a lot of the lower-end B&W's (that still cost more than Divas), IMO the Divas have a richer sound, but the B&W's do sound a bit more clear.

Of course, when you're comparing $2k+ B&W's, then the competition gets a *little* bit tougher =)

I have the same TV but it's black. How did you managed to change its color. This mofo is a bitch to move, so heavy.

Wahoo!

fvcking nice setup there..but what do you mean by "at work"? And is it not yours? i don't know how you could have such nice equipment and not know what you bought...that's like buying a Porsche 911 Turbo and saying that you have "some German car" :)
