I posted that on Mar 5, 2024. Bought them today almost 1 1/2 years later and the price is $6.72. I'm glad not everything has gone up.

Those big assed Stouffer frozen lasagnes are pretty good. Priced at around $18, but I cut this one in six pieces, so six meals. A couple of them are a bit too big though, so I might be able to get 8 out of the next one. Two bucks a meal is OK.

I miss when Dollar Tree had these for $1 during the early pandemic. They were about a third the size of those big packs you get at the grocery store and I'd buy out the entire freezer of them (5-20 at a time) when they'd get them in stock.

$2.59 at Tallahassee Aldi. Walmart is $2.34.

Yesterday, I got four boxes of maple/pecan Honey Bunches of Oats for 98¢/each. That was from GroceryOutlet. I might get more next week if they're still there.

Target is 2.49 and up 11.49 depending on the brand name
Grocery Outlet has these crappy little medium sized, nearly expiring eggs for 2.39/doz up to 5.29 for a no-name brand.

I bet it's been 20 years since I've been in one, and they were already too expensive for a greasy fried sugar cake. I'm a little biased against donuts cause I used to make them, but they cost almost nothing to make. Add in the coffee that's costs as much per cup as a week of pots to make at home, there's little reason to go in.

I buy Krispy Kreme donuts a couple times a year. They are ridiculously priced, nearly $20 for an assorted dozen.
I'll get them only when there's a BOGO promotion.

I think a dozen at the mom & pop shops is around $15, although those are normally a little bigger than KKD's.

Are you cooking the entire thing, and then eating it for 3-4 days straight?? I do like frozen lasagna, but that's too much. As SteveGrabowski mentioned, you're better off snagging the single-serve portions on sale.

KK ain't donuts.

I let this one thaw just enough to cut and separate, then re-froze. Thaw one piece and nuke it when the taste buds call once or twice a month.

Regarding Dunkin' in my area?
When they just opened a shop a few miles away I happened to be in the area.
I walked in to look at the prices. IIRC it was 2.39 per donut and about 20.00/dozen.

Now I also looked at door dash and they charge 3.11 per donut and 16.23 for half dozen and 27.48/doz

I was actually trying to find the menu prices at Dunkin online. At my closest Dunkin, and they list everything but the prices.

I was getting eggs at a farm exclusively, but the last two times I got them from aldi. The farm's prices were increasing with the store prices, even though bird flu isn't here afaik. Just business, and it keeps it fair. If they were much cheaper, they'd be getting bought out and scalped. Anyway, it's a little out of the way to go there, and with the high prices, I just didn't bother. I'll probably stop back in a month or so, and see what the scene looks like. My aldi eggs have been of better quality than they were a few years ago. Probably just variability, but it makes it easy to say "good enough" when I'm already there.

3.3x for milk


Walked around spot checking prices since I haven't been there in so long. Everything I looked at was the same price or higher than other stores.


Not one thing was that special pricing they used to have.

Stayed on the rack and I went to a regular store. Milk was less, chicks were within pennies.

The A has lost the luster and is now just another store.

Scracthed out on DD. Hit a locally owned bakery that has been huffing out donuts for decades.

Last time I got farmer eggs they were $5/dz limit 2. That was still less than market eggs, but more than I want to regularly spend. I don't eat a ton of eggs anyway, but at $5, I'd reduce consumption even more.

I have noticed that my local Safeway has eggnog already, in fact they first had it in September. In the past month I have bought two bottles. Ironically, by the time the holiday season actually hits, there is no eggnog to be found anymore :/

There are some interesting deals going on now here as Thanksgiving is next Monday.

Utility turkeys are $0.99 per pound.

Pumpkins are rather cheap. All sorts of squashes/gourds are also on sale.

Cabbage, rutabaga, potatoes, onions, etc are all on sale.

I went to the store today, indeed eggs are expensive. $10.99 for 18 pack, but at least they are the good brown ones. Also got some more eggnog, among other goodies.
