I've noticed in the past year, since they implemented their "Partners" program where they begin pay approved users to upload videos a percentage of the ad revenue, the quality of YouTube content has gone up dramatically. In addition to this, the fact that you can download many videos at 1080p (which work well in full screen mode on my 24 inch Dell UltraSharp) give it a very "television" ish feel.

I think YouTube is the future of video and it will slowly replace TV. Sony even makes a "Google TV" where you can surf the web and watch YouTube videos on it.

Here are some of my favorite channels:

http://www.youtube.com/user/JustKiddingFilms - Comedy, known for their "Uncle Same" kits.
http://www.youtube.com/user/DigitalRevCom - Review of camera and other photography stuff done with humor and set in Hong Kong.
http://www.youtube.com/user/xJawz - A kid who creates and commentates his CoD Black Ops matches and gives advice.

Post your favorite YouTube channels! This is the future of Television!

5 years from now a thread like this will get 200 responses, remember that. I really think this is the future of video based entertainment.

I don't know those others, but Shaytards is just a stupid sponsored vlog. It's mind-numbing and pointless. Stop watching that shit.

A lot of cool content is being produced on YouTube and it's only going to grow exponentially. Once it becomes mainstream YouTube producers will go from being kids on their webcams making dumb videos to professionally produced videos on nearly any subject you can image.

We need the bandwidth to increase to allow 1080p videos to download quickly, to the point where you do not have to wait. We need TV makers to create access to the internet on their televisions like Sony does with their Google TV. And we need the public to be educated on how to find and watch these videos to their full potential (use of full screen mode and 1080p).

Some of these YouTube Channels already have over a million subscribers, as much as some cable TV channels probably have viewers.

Give it time, this is the next revolution on the internet.

I only have a handful of subs and I don't sub to every other guy, only ones I really like and think they do a great job.

nutnfancy - gun, knife, gear, backpacking videos
wranglerstar - formally known as wranglerbarn. Not much gun/gear anymore as it is self reliance stuff. Cool "Offgrid Homestead Project" to follow.
hickok45 - simple shooting videos by a funny old guy who is an amazing shot
sootch00 - gun and gear reviews, preparedness stuff

Also this guy makes some good Minecraft videos: paulsoaresjr

There is no doubt, it's called Uverse and Comcast Triple Play.

Lol, you're mad that a guy gets paid for doing shit with his family all day?

Shaytards/Shaycarl, AMilonakis, MediocreFilms, Ponceman, etc.

I'm not mad at them for making the vlog, I just don't understand why people watch that crap.

MarbleHornets - a supernatural mystery/thriller series, somewhat ARGish (there's also use of Twitter by the main character)
