the future is now.

OP: whats the knife? and where do you go all the time that you want to carry? (i vaguely remember something about you and detroit. or not)

I go lots of places. Hopefully nowhere I will ever need my gun, but I prefer having it just in case.

LOL @ "I NEED A HANDGUN TO PROTECT MYSELF WHILE WALKING IN THE WALMART PARKING LOT!" people.

I do the keys, wallet, phone like nearly all men.

Lol @ the people who are unwilling to protect themselves

Having known two people who worked/lived in shady areas that were nearly killed by random thugs, I have no problem with people carrying defensive weapons.

One guy got stabbed for his wallet.

The other guy got his head beaten in with a brick because a gang thought he looked like a guy from a rival gang.

Yeah I guess as long as they don't get a drop on you those guns can come in handy.

Here in greater Boston it wouldn't be a bad idea to carry but seeing as MA is a totalitrian State it's pretty damn impossible to get a CC permit.

-Ruger LCP, the only pocket pistol I'd trust my life to.
-Leatherman Squirt PS4. Fits in my change pocket.
-Fossil wallet, the slim kind with the magnet money clip.
-The Droid
-Viper car beeper with house key, nothing else.
I leave the car keys in the console. If anyone breaks in the Viper is supposed to prevent them from starting the engine. If they know how to hot wire past it then it really doesnt matter one way or the other.
-Sometimes pocket change, but rarely. Not much room with a minitool in my little change pocket.

Thats all. Anything more and I carry a backpack. Netbook, school books, whatever.

Even the Glcok 26/27 is too big for me. If they made a subcompact single stack I would pick it up.
I have a full size multi-tool in my glove box, and a tool box in the back of the pickup, along with emergency equipment including a trauma kit and food & water. Thats more than enough. For my pockets I keep it simple.

Also, if you guys find you cant carry enough junk and you dont want a purse or man-bag:

Check the categories at the top. Not everything they have is stupid looking. In fact I wanna get their Outback jacket one of these days but its damn expensive. http://www.scottevest.com/v3_store/Outback-Jacket.shtml
I like the black one best.

Well, Fritzo, we all know that the majority of these CC holding posters only leave the basement 3-4 times a year, they hear tell there is a lot of mean people on the outside.
One of them may try to steal their thumb drive!

Wow at those that live so protected they don't need to pack personal protection.

Most of the people I know that pack are beyond the 6 figures a year mark. Like mine, their jobs occasionally put them into harm's way. Maybe we have a client that has an office in the ghetto. Cut over must be after 9pm. We walk out into the streets at 2am and then have to find our car down the road, now alone and carrying $5000 in electronics, expensive watch, jewelery, shoes, wedding band, sunglasses, iPhone/Android, etc. Cash/credit cards...

Sorry, but I can understand why they carry and why they have had to go on record for a pull and sometimes shooting.

Most of the guys I know that carry knifes, do so 50% for places where guns are banned and 50% for needing a knife.
