Lol @ the people who are unwilling to protect themselves

From what? I've been around for 41 years and have never "needed to protect myself." Truthfully of you do get in that situation it's going to happen so fast you won't be in a position to react. You're statistically more likely to be injured by that gun than protecting anyone.

I have a feeling that people carry guns because it makes them feel invincible, which is dangerous in itself.

I do though...based on all your posts. You are hardly above average.

You are hardly above average either.

I highly doubt you make "six figures" and go out at 2am to the slums to do upgrades.

But then again, you're liarkemyst... you probably think six figures includes the 2 decimal places after the period. paying you 5,000.00 a year is about right.

Backpack that usually contains chargers, Amazon Kindle, couple flash drives, a point and shoot camera, a clean t-shirt, and clean socks.

When going to work I also carry a large set of keys, 2 work IDs, and a two way radio. I also have a packed lunch I bring to work.

I really don't know what to tell you. A lot of infrastructure gets put in the worst areas.

I am way above average though. Since my school days.

All that said a lot of that advantage has been given back. Just spent yesterday taking a little one-eyed kitten to the vet to now find a home for him eventually. I am $500 invested already...I doubt you could even fathom to avoid something like that.

BTW we are calling him Cappy, for Capt. Jack...he's pirate cat.

I've been around for 23 years and I've been successfully jumped twice. Both times, the guys starting shouting at me from a distance. I had a good 15-60 seconds to prepare myself both times. Unfortunately, I don't carry any kind of defensive items and I basically had to roll over and let them rob me. Luckily, I never got hurt.

There was actually a third time where a group of guys pulled knives on me, but I managed to run out to a main road with lots of people.

(I never lived in shitty area, but the areas near colleges are sometimes shady)

I don't have my CHL yet, and my Ruger is actually a little big to carry anyway (though I'm a big guy and it blends into me at 3ish, with a slight forward cant).

You had 15-60 seconds and you didn't run?
