756 on a 3570k @ 4.8ghz. Do I need to post pictures to validate?

I would hope you only need extraordinary proof if you were making an extraordinary claim. 746 @ 4.8GHz on a 3570k is not extraordinary IMO.

Question - what are your ram timings? Just curious, the answer doesn't change my opinion as expressed above.

Also when I checked CPU-Z, it turns out my CPU is running at 4.021Ghz, so . . . . .
Ya, don't put too much weight into those results, many were taken without CPU-Z screen shots, actual MHz is anyones guess. Just havin some fun.

Im gonna need a tissue now.................My CPU Refused to enter windows at anything higher than 5.5ghz :( and that was at 1.54v. I believe I have lost the challenge.

Purchase optional insurance plan.

Switch to no fear mode

Try with only 1-2 active cores set in BIOS.

Crank up the vcore!

Prey chip is strong!

Worked for me at least.

57x is no go for me so far. Tried a couple times and gave up so far.

My no fear approach stops around 1.7v's.

Not sure. if I wanna take the whatever it takes approach for 57x or if my chip is even capable

Thanks, ive been rolling with 4 cores, 5.5ghz 1.54v on air. Ill set i t to 1 core and see if i can get a 6ghz run on air lol.

I just noticed that I am the only one with a completely round, even number of Mhz per point. I thought that would be a little more common!

Is your CPU really running at an even 2800? I can't remember the last time I had a system where the CPU was running exactly at the rated/expected MHz due to the bus speed not being a perfect even 100.0, 200.0 MHz, or whatever.

As I said before, without members posting the actual MHz of the CPU (when under load), the sorted chart isn't accurate either.

Didn't know this benchmark was so sensitive to memory settings.

i5-3570K @ stock
2x GEIL 4GB 9-9-9 DDR3-1600.
JEDEC - 1333 9-9-9-24-33-1T, Score = 600.
XMP#1 - 1600 9-9-9-28-36-2T, Score = 570.

567 on a Core I5 2500K. Mixed ram. Was supposed to be at 1333 but I just noticed that something in BIOS has set it to 1066 @ 7-7-7-20-2T. Might tinker with that later but not as much into pure speed as I used to be and it would do nothing other than grow e-peen (and I'm too old for that). Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with all updates and service packs.

Might test my new Xeon E3-1230V2 later this week.

I explored the effects of changing ram bandwidth and clockspeed with my FX-8350.

Taking the ram from DDR3-1866 down to a slow DDR3-800 resulted in practically no effect on the CPUmark99 score. This is probably to be expected given that CPUmark99 surely runs entirely within the on-die of the CPU itself.

Summary of results:

Conclusion - at least as far as the FX-8350 is concerned, changing ram speed and command rate makes no difference.

How about clockspeed itself then?

Nice linear correlation between clockspeed and CPUmark99 score.

115 points per GHz for the Piledriver microarchitecture.

Pentium M 725 1.6Ghz: 195

Would be interesting to see some newer Haswell and Atom (Silvermont) scores I think. :)
