L5639 @ 3.2 Ghz. Not bad for $100 :)

Sorry, no CPU-Z (This is the same shot I posted in the L5639 Overclocking thread).

Not too many dual socket rigs here.
Nothing overclocked, all stock. Like at the track, there is no substitute for cubic inches!

Well, I remounted my block and got a decent drop in temperatures even with a tad more voltage. Still, the stuff that comes preapplied to these Corsair H100i's must not be all that bad to allow for 5.0GHz on an SB-E.

BTW...Grooveriding, what kind of voltage do you have to run at 5GHz?

4.6GHz at 1.95v, dat Haswell ;)

Having a difficult time stabilizing the CPU at 4.9GHz since the temps are unstable due to the block being mounted by only 3 screws only as one mounting screw has loose threads. Ironically my temps are now higher now than prior to the delid D:

I think about 1.48 or so, that is an old screenshot from when I was playing around with the chip I have now, so I'm not 100% on the voltage or what it would take now to get a bootup at 5ghz.

I have a pretty nice chip, it does 4.8 @ 1.38, which is really good for SB-E. I can't say that the 5ghz is stable though, never tried Linx on it, etc.

Cinebench is the CPU benchmark equivalent of what Unigine Valley is for GPUs; you can run it on a completely unstable overclock otherwise :D Basically if you can boot in to Windows without a crash you can run Cinebench.

I'll try a 5.2 or something later today and see if I can get it to pass.

Same here, I've never tested for any long term stability over 4.8. Just gave it some slight voltage bumps for 4.9, 5.0 and then 5.1 for benches and it kept working so i went with it, don't plan on running it there for any length of time anyway. I did try 5.2 using that same mindset though and it balked, crashed about halfway through the bench. I would probably have to resort to disabling C states and such to go any further.

Nice power guzzler ;)
Thanks. Just doing my part to warm the planet! ;)

@blackened23, thanks for your sincere kudos. Though there are some pretty heavy hitters showing up for this game, I think ol' Sandy still represents fairly well in this particular instance.

You could do better, but it was a good effort. :colbert:
Yeah, I was thinking about kludging up my very own coal fired turbine, as most of our electricity comes from hydro. While it does a great job of killing off salmon, it's not so great for leaving a Sasquatch-style carbon footprint.

3570K @ 5.0Ghz @ 1.368v + Samsung 32nm ram @ 1866 9-9-9-24

Screenshot shows 4.5Ghz because all of the power saving features are enabled and it was down-clocking when I took the screenshot.
