Synthetic benchmarks that used optimized graphics pipelines tooled specifically for a few cards don't float my boat.

But I do get a steady 35fps in UT2k4 on most maps with my Athlon 1.4ghz/512meg/GeForce 4 Ti4600 with all setting set to SPANKMEHARD. 😀
 
Best I've ever gotten on my rig was exactly 4000.
Barton 2800+ @2153MHz
Radeon 9600 AIW Pro 450/742 (conservative settings)
1 GB Geil PC3500 RAM 2-3-3-11

at the time of that score I believe I was running the Radeon at 465/760 (no artifacts or lockups either) 🙂

Mine was about 6200, p4 2.4 @ 3.3, 1 GB PC3500, Radeon 9800 Pro 390/365. Chipset/ram timings and all that goodness are in my sig.

why are people with worse specs than mine getting higher scores :\

3dmark03 is all about the gfx card. Maybe you have 9800 NP or SE or something ?
