Synthetic benchmarks that used optimized graphics pipelines tooled specifically for a few cards don't float my boat.

But I do get a steady 35fps in UT2k4 on most maps with my Athlon 1.4ghz/512meg/GeForce 4 Ti4600 with all setting set to SPANKMEHARD.

Best I've ever gotten on my rig was exactly 4000.

Radeon 9600 AIW Pro 450/742 (conservative settings)

at the time of that score I believe I was running the Radeon at 465/760 (no artifacts or lockups either)

3dmark03 is all about the gfx card. Maybe you have 9800 NP or SE or something ?
