Nice work Anubis, mine looks probably more a mutt than yours, but I like the sound.

Sweet setup.

Its so weird seeing an emotiva with a clone and ep4k. How you liking the tempest? Oh hows that center relative to the seos?

I really need to hire someone to build me a ported ftw21 at 10hz enclosure

that would need to be like 20 CUFT or something silly wouldn't it ?

Wow Anubis so you like the F4Q4 Speaker? I didn't want to build one at all because I didn't think it could keep up with the Tempests.

Right now, I still am saving for the Volts, building a Dayton Ultimax 15 Enclosure (can finish it now that exams are done), and wasn't going to get fronts until I could get the Tux 1099's as I like the look a lot. The Fusion Quad 4 though, seen a lot of talk about it on the forums and while I know it was a good speaker, didn't think it'd really keep up with the Tempests if you like to crank your system up loud.

it keeps up just fine as a center. after getting the levels correct its fine at and above reference, it wont go as far past as the tempests but your ears wont either

14cu per sub, it gives +8db between 10-50hz and tapers off to even at 80hz. My sealed enclosure is 7cu, but remember that was only just a quick run through to check the sub response, not port speed or any fine tunings.

I thought about a horn, and might in the future, but I dont know if I could fit a 10hz horn in my house. Maybe down the road I will make a 5hz flh but for that Ill need a whole room dedicated to that...

I'm still working on a mounting solution for the KPT-100s in the rear but the front is all set;

Speaker buddy of mine who lives in PA, its not a "shop", he has that in a shed in his backyard

starts talking about the shed and CNC after post 350 or so

http://www.avsforum.com/forum/29-wh...56-gorilla83-s-humble-basement-hangout-4.html

How does he have a CNC? What? I thought those things were EXTREMELY expensive. I'm so jealous right now, I wanted to get my subwoofer box cut by a CNC but by the tiem I decided it was the Art/Architecture Major's time period to finish up their major projects before the end of the semester. Never got a chance.

how? hes got far too much money. brand new the one he has is only like 30k or so
he got it used

Wish I had that problem lol. Now that I have my Ultimax 15 setup, I realize I'm lacking in my other speakers.

Also, you think stuffing 2 pillows into a 3CU Sealed box is too much?

I wired my Ultimax 15 into only 1 channel of my NU4-6000 and stuffed 2 pillows into a 3CU sealed box. Now I'm thinking that maybe I should bridge 2 channels and remove a pillow?
