Upgraded my system to 5.1.4 and a 65 inch OLED 4K/3D set. Since I took the picture I tilted the TV so it's directly facing my eyes to eliminate doubling while watching 3D content. Very satisfied with everything. I prefer the TV a bit higher because I sit back and relax my head and my feet get in the way if the set is low.

Glad I got the 3D option with the 2016 model. Time to dust off some old games and play em in 3D.

Monitor audio gold, rotel power amps, yamaha reveiver, samsung 4k player, sony 930D tv.

When hdmi 2.1 devices come out I am going to replace the tv, player and reciever.

I want 4:4:4 RGB with full range for gaming at 4k 60hz for proper hdr compatibility. Newer video card/windows updates have caused problems and I use this for gaming more than anything.

I posted my setup above and here is my kids. Same room. I made the desk myself because I could not find a 7 foot long desk that wasn't crazy expensive. Mine cost me $45 in lumber and my time.

My Daughter is 8 and my son is 3. He gets the little monitor lol.

Here is my current setup.

Open Baffle, Dayton PS220-8 with PRV 15W700 and 3 KM750 all running active EQ. Everything is done with a PC. Room is roughly 10.5' x 10.5' x 6.5' so pretty small. Room is music first and movies second. Wife decided the original wood color I used was a distraction so I came home to her painting the baffles one day. The TV is a 55" TCL s405

Upgraded the main TV room. Swapped out my beloved 60" Pioneer plasma (which is now hung in the master bedroom) for an 85" Sony. We had Definitive Tech Mythos speakers (L R C) on-wall before. Those are gone and replaced with 2x Klipsch RP-280 for left/right and a Klipsch RP-450 for center. There are 2 in-wall speakers behind the couches to complete the 5.1 system. Haven't really done the full cinema experience yet, but listened to some music and it was exponentially better than the prior speakers.

From what I've seen with reviews of the concentric Genelec Ones, they have much higher distortion (particularly IMD) than the 2 ways, but have better imaging in the nearfield.

Have you tried comparing 2 ways with the concentrics? I think in the mid field a waveguide based 2-way should sound pretty similar with a concentric in terms of imaging, but in theory the concentric should be much better in the near-field.

I have 8330 for surrounds and those are 2 way They sound amazing paired with the 7270 sub. I havent noticed any distortion from the 8351. Its clean clean clean. Usually I can tell when there is more distortion in the speaker because my ears will fatigue faster. That isnt the case with this speaker.

They do sound similar. Backing down from a professional near field monitor, I prefer full range drivers for the closest near field listening.

No. I compared to pmc, atc, focal and barefoot. All powered. I need a lot of speakers so racking up amps for all of them would just add too much to the cost. This set up is 22k. I dont want to spend 90k on speakers

is that a 5.1.4 or do you have 4 surround speakers? for a 7.1.4? Looks good. I do wonder how that center channel holds up. I would add 1 more sub for that room size. For sound treatment look into knauff. They make a 703 equivalent without the off gassing of formaldehyde. Cover it with acoustical fabric. 2" should be enough for positive results if placed everywhere.
