I should have just bought a Kindle Paperwhite like I intended when I walked into the store 20 minutes ago, but couldn't resist getting this, having owned the prior Nexus 7 and loving it. Much harder to get actual reading done when you know Netflix and apps galore are just a few presses away... oh well, it's damn good value, and I needed something bigger than my phone for reading, though it does fine in a pinch (literally).

I just got a Chromecast,

I was very disappointed when I found out that it won't work with the version of Crome on my Nexus 7, you have to be using Chrome browser on a laptop or desktop running Windows or IOS to "cast" browser pages to the device. Netflix and Youtube work and Google Play work great but the fact that I can't cast web pages means it's going back, since most people use a "22 or larger monitor with a desktop these days there's not much need to cast a browser to a "47 TV, IMHO Google didn't want you finding "free" stuff to watch with a browser and getting around paying through Playstore, F-you Google, are you trying to be the next Apple??

Oh, and I got a Canon SX50. Pics are on my website, but I don't want you knowing where it is.

One of the cats thought it would be fun to rip open his own leg. That there's a $600 repair job. Now he's stomping around the house trying to find a way to get the bandage off. "Stupid bandage, stupid bandage, stupid bandage."

I will be using the Xbox as Windows Media Center extender for live TV streaming.
