I miss how cars used to be made:

Cadillac+Eldorado+1970.jpg
That is one messed up car.

http://automotivemileposts.com/prod1970eldo.html
500 Cubic Inch V-8 (400 Horsepower at 4400 rpm)
Bore and stroke: 4.30 x 4.304 Inches
Compression ratio: 10.0:1
Torque: 550 ft. lbs. at 3000 rpm
Carburetor: Rochester Model 4MV Quadrajet (Special for Eldorado)
Exhaust System: Dual Exhaust to Muffler, One Outlet Pipe from Muffler

TRANSMISSION CODE
Turbo Hydramatic (Front Wheel Drive)

It's an unusual feeling driving these cars; they don't behave the way you would expect an automobile of this magnitude to behave. They hold the corners like they were on rails; they accelerate rapidly enough to scare you if you hold the pedal down too long. The variable-ratio power steering was precise, and the standard automatic level control kept everything on an even keel, regardless of load.

I wonder how much it costs per year to drive an 8.2L engine to work.

My first girlfriend, but I have a feeling posting a pic of a 12 year old probably wouldn't go over well.

Depends. If you were close to 12 at the time, people will give you some shit(cause that's what people do here). If it's dated from last year, people will give you A LOT of shit :^D

1969 Chevelle SS w/396 big block

Yeah, I had a '69 SS396, 4 Speed in the mid 70's. Burgundy w/ Black vinyl top.
(Your pic happens to be the wallpaper on my wifes laptop, courtesy of her Son-in-law)

Burgundy w black top sounds nice! Mine was light green with a dark forest green vinyl top. I do love the blue in the picture, if I was going to refurb one I think thats the color I would paint it.

Yesterday I was en route to work, and at a light a woman pulled up next to me pointing out something was on my trunk. It was this shoe. I put them on my roof to open the door, then forgot to put them in the car. I would have seen it if I had a rear view mirror. I wasn't done beating the shit out of them.
Been scouring the roads hoping to spot it, but see no sign of it. 🙁

I have too many to list...

-Miss the 80's and 90's. Life was just so much more carefree. Great music, being a kid in the arcades, was more into watching sports. NBA, NFL was great in the 90's. More memorable players that actually chose to demonstrate talent rather than their worth.
- Miss cheaper gas prices is always a plus
- In general, miss the quality of manufacturing depending if its electronics, how houses are made, cars, etc etc
- Miss all the great 90's sitcoms and those corny commercials. At the time, i got annoyed of them. Now that I look back, I do miss them 🙂.
- I don't miss the tons of AOL cd's I kept getting in the mail, newspaper, or wherever. Argh! It was like a plague spreading...

Trip down Nostalgic lane:

You werent in Fort Worth, Texas the other day were you? This was a perfectly restored 1970 ice blue Deville. Out of the clear blue sky it stops next to me. Wow. 😱

If I'm not mistaken that pic was taken on Jacksborro hwy near Rockwood golf course. My folks lived up on the hill probably within 1/4 mile of that spot when I was born in the late 50's, small world
