this I really can't understand, 79 Blazer as a handle. 2 mustangs, then all the time spent on pics of a 97 town car?????

sort of wierd, but if it's your bag

The *69* mustangs were the best overall....definitely with 1/4 mile potential. My first car was a 66 GT, my father and I fully restored (the whole car was better than stock, not just a MAACO paint job and some rims restoration claim).

Personally one of the 'projects' in my mind is taking a 69 Super Jet, bringing it to 2k standards under the hood, inside and underneath.

keep the outside stock, maybe a little lower.

Hehe. I just bought the Town Car, for a daily driver. The two Mustangs are my toys, along with the 79 Blazer i'm piecing back together, to do some off-roading fun. The newer Mustang ('96), i'm selling due to lost interest, and I really don't care for Vert's all that much anymore. Besides, it's an auto. The '69 is in the paint shop, being stripped and full resto from the frame up, including some frame stiffening. No pics of the Blazer, yet. Just pictue a 79 Blazer with rust holes through every part of the body. And a 3 in. lift.

Why not do the restore yourself? I know paint work and engine/drivetrain internals are best left to specialists, but at all of 16-17 years old my father and I redid all the interior (except headliner a pro did); took out every screw, bolt, nut and clip and either replaced or refinished; did the brakes; all the bolt on stuff (lights, fogs, bezels), etc.

Took a few months though....but I learned a lot.

I'd love to do the resto myself, but it's almost finished as it is. I'm not a body guy. I'm great with building up a motor, but even that is getting hard for me (bad arthritis). I wanted it ready for this summer's cruising, and car shows. And no, it will not be a trailer b!tch.

EDIT: Beautiful '66 BTW. Too bad about it's demise. :(

yeah...unfortunately when my father and I are drinking on the boat I still hear about it....he financed that project ;).

I love driving my 1998 240SX SE, still when I got it last year sometime it had 3 dings (in 6 years of use). Now I park in a private lot, next to a curb on my passenger side with normal sized spaces.

Fvck me, but still people have added another 3-4 dings including a literal 1/4" fender lip crease I had to push out. It's only noticible now when the body is dirty (white car so when dirty the inner valley of the ding is still shiny).

Needless to say we use my wife's Saturn to shop.
