Possible shooting again in Virginia?

ASHLAND, Virginia (CNN) -- Authorities shut down sections of Interstate 95 and Route 54 after a shooting in the Richmond suburb of Ashland, but it is unclear if it could be linked to the series of sniper shootings that have killed nine people and wounded two others since October 2.

Authorities said a person was shot at a Ponderosa Steak House restaurant in Ashland, about 90 miles from Washington, D.C. No information about the victim's identity or condition is available.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's office said a member of the sniper task force was on the way to the site.

I bouncing between the stations here in the D.C. area, but haven't come up with anything yet. However, here in Western FFX Co., I did hear a chopper flying around about 1/2 hour ago. Hopefully, things are fine. This crap seems to happen every time I go out. The other evening, I was at another Home Depot store when the 7-Corners shooting happened. This evening, I was out at Michael's Crafts.

For those not familiar with the area, Ashland, VA is near where Paramount King's Dominion is located. Ashland is also about 15 miles north of Richmond. I don't remember too much being around this area. However, there is an Aunt Sarah's pancake house which is close to I-95.

they just had the guy who made the 911 call on cnn, he said a lady came in his store about 8:30 and said someone was shot call 911 so he did

It doesn't appear to be related to the sniper shootings. It's kinda out of the area and was at a restaurant.

it was on a busy street with many stores, restaurants, GAS STATIONS, etc. all around the restaurant... matches up just about identically to me...

And right near the main highways. Also, it wasn't in the restaurant, but in the parking lot right near a gas station.

CNN just said that the man in the parking lot went down without confrontation... He is in relatively stable condition at a local hospital...

And why not. Ashland is only about 35 - 40 miles south of Fredericksburg where two of the other shootings happened. Heck, if this shooter is driving 60 or 70 miles north to get into Maryland to do the shootings, what would stop them from driving 30 or 40 miles to the south?

If this was the sniper then it'd be the first time he attacked on a weekend ... Wouldn't be surprised though since he seems to try not to follow a pattern to keep the police on their toes.

Was just about to post this. Check out CNN, they are saying it could be the sniper because even though weekend it is around the right time period. Also, witness saw the white van, again. Wouldn't this guy realize to get a new car??
