With the large amount of rad scanning being done in the NYC area
by helicopter and van/truck,i doubt there is any nuke within 25 miles
of NYC.
The vehicles are unmarked and the helicopters are all black with
only 2 small blinking nav lights with a equipment pod hanging below
the cabin. The helis are often seen flying around the container ships
and containers on land but also fly over the city and surrounding areas.

i've seen them many times at night.
And a friend in the know explained what they were doing to me.
A nuke would probably be easily detectable because a large amount
of shielding would be neccesary to block all the gamma coming off of it.

Also bridges and tunnels into NYC are equpped to monitor for radiation.

Yes. Nuke the city centers in the early evening on a Friday. Kill millions... OF JANITORS AND HOT DOG VENDORS.

That's interesting. I remember them blocking off all bridges into NYC after 9/11 and working on some super-secret thing.

assuming that 'rad scanning' piece is true in NYC - why would they be concerned with nuke's if there wasn't at least some credibility to the idea of nuke's getting into terrorist hands?

If U.S. does get attacked by nuclear bombs by middle easterners. There are two possibility that might happen.

1: US launches butt loads of nukes back at middle east's countries where terrorist populates and f*ck them all. And kill all the middle easterners that are living in U.S. or exile them to another country.

2: US stays cool and don't launch any nukes but sends more soldiers and tanks or what ever to Clean up Middle east, the whole country total war, and kill or exiles all the middle easterners to another country.

3: US decides to attack first with nuclear bombs, This I can agree on cause I don't like any of the middle east people they do nothing but cause trouble in the U.S. and to the rest of this world. They're nothing but a bunch of worthless trouble makers, why even allow them to immigrate to our country, their religion is some how misleading them into great destruction. We should've filtered them out of our country after 9/11. Either kill or kick them back to Middle east with 747s.

If you don't like what I just said. Too bad.

Wow. Self pwned w/inability to keep track of number of own illogical ramblings.
Ur so full of BS with ur american politics u know that? That's why you can't even prevent 9/11 mr. white eagle

Further proof you are a short-bus riding imbecile. Where in my post did I say anything even remotely politcally motivated? I simply pointed out that you can't tally your ramblings properly.
Also I note your profile states you are in California, so guess what? That's right! You're a hypocrite as well as an imbecile.
And by the way, my avatar is an eagle because my name, Aquila, means 'eagle' in Latin. But I didn't expect you to know that, smacktard n00b.

Yup, the cockroaches and Twinkies will be all that is left if this happens. And we will all be flocking there to eat them, if this happens.

QFT. No electricity, no heat, no transportation, no piped water even, just for starters. I would imagine more casualties from lack of oil than from the nuke strike.

The question is, are all you guys yelling "lets nuKe0xed the aRABs!$*@" ready to sacrifice the quality of life of everyone you know (including yourself) to kill millions of civilians and a few thousand terrorists?

Our country cannot function without oil. Our geography and infrastructure is still OVERWHELMINGLY petroleum based on so many levels.

That's why I continually  at all the chumps who post such ridiculous "nuke the Middle East" scenarios. The REAL men in power (i.e. the big money of our country) will never allow our own government to disrupt/destroy our supply of oil in any significant way.

So, uh, does anyone know what effects the EMP would have on a laptop that's powered off everything but the CMOS circuit?

Your faith amuses me. Humankind is ultimately self-destructive. Give them an excuse to end it all, and they will.

because most base line electricity isn't coal or nuclear generated...
