In the recent past others have ordered via the toll-free number and bought a pair that way.

If you want them that bad i say go for it :)

R30s on sale now

These are the black ones vs cherry and are $49 each.

Info on R30
Info on R15

Damn, I wanted the cherry ones! I'm still considering getting these, though...

If you wait, I'm sure the cherry ones will go on sale eventually too.

Exactly what I'm thinking. If i wait, I'll also be able see how I like the R15s too.

Any thoughts on how much better these polk r15/r30/r50's would be than the speakers from the onkyo 760 (or 770 etc) HTIB speakers?

These speakers are always seem to be on sale ... Don't worry if you missed it. Tho I got mine for 50 bucks a pair. Damn! Could haves saved 10 bucks! :)

Mini Review:

I was looking for some small speakers to replace my infinity reference speakers. NO room for them! :( Anyway....

Build quality: is TOP NOTCH! 5 Way binding post's no spring clip BS. And the Box and Finish are good.
Sound: They sound clear and smooth... Not Bright like most small speakers.
Price: As far as I am concerned a steal!

It will be interesting to hear from others what they think of these speakers. Remember that you'll have to listen to them for a good 40-50 hours to break them in.

The Bad, Not a clear as my Inifinity. Bass is a bit lacking, but that is expected from any bookshelf speakers a 10" sub is needed.

If money was no object I'd go to audioc.com.....

Do yall think I better spend the extra $10 for the R30 or just get the R15? I just need some decent and cheap speakers for my poor man HT. I already had a Pioneer 814 for $110.

The R15s are sold in pairs. I got mine for $50 shipped.

The R30s are sold individually. Shipping on each, for me, would be about $20 more. And there's a limit 1 per household.

Bump for the weekend crowd.

A deal this good shouldn't be on page 6!

FYI, the R15s are now listed as "Call for Availability".
hmm,

Do you know if outpost accepts backorders? With their track record they ought to have them back in stock in no time.

I got my R15s about 2-3 weeks ago and for the price I am VERY happy. Much better than the speakers I was using that cost me twice as much and are very "balanced" to my front Polk RT7s. and CS275. In non audiophiles terms, the entire sound field seemed to open up with the sound being warmer but more natural as well as more clear..

Since I have a 10" sub, I didnt notice a lack of bass and in fact, bass response from the ENTIRE system seemed to inprove. Im sure these speakers as stand alones would be a little lacking but still very listenable..

Ive had much more expensive speakers but again, Polk seems to have very good bang for the buck.

Just remember, sound is very subjective.

Or wait another week or two for outpost to have the black one's on sale for $40 again ;)
