fair enough. I guess the next question is would you want to drive a car that was wrecked like that even if it was completely fixed.
Similar thing happened with my father, some black ice, and a light pole in Michigan with our '91 Explorer way back when. Not the same amount of damace though. He was able to drive it home (after reporting the accident and talking with police) to Ohio. We probably put another 60,000-70,000 miles on that Explorer before trading it in.
