Pop music may take a lot of effort, yes. In that way it's like a very hard shit. It takes a lot of effort to squeeze it out, but it's still shit.

Actually with modern software composing a pop song doesn't really take much effort at all. Pop song arragements are very formulaic.

Recording a 3 piece band (guitar, bass, drums) is significantly more complicated since you have to begin with original sounds and capture them cleanly, in tune, sync'd with the beat, etc. Nowadays a lot of that is being corrected via software, too.

Somewhere uh-ohs just creamed himself.

I only heard this recently myself, but you apparently can't leave a korean karaoke place without hearing this song at least once.
This one went viral to the point that ive heard it's all over asia with people at clubs doing the whole dance routine too.

Here's how difficult it is to make a pop song:

News Clip:

Instant Song:

That was hardly instant, in fact I'll bet money not a single person on here could have created that. There was a ton of time and effort put into that song, regardless of how silly it is. Believe it or not working with Autotune requires a good deal of skill, it doesn't just instantly turn shit vocals into semi melodies like you seem to think it does.
