Yeah doesn't seem right, it's like they're doing it on purpose *tinfoil hat*(paid by Intel???).

Well, at least this allowed to point that a 500€ HP Carrizo laptop has a dual channel configuration while a 800£ Lenovo i7 6500U is restricted to a single channel, and of course 8GB at most, a backfiring initiative if ever that s one..

Processor 2.5GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7-6500U
RAM 8GB
Memory slots (free) 1 (0)

Quite ironic, isnt it..?..

how is this thread not just a regurgitation of the other thread we have on this?

I was wondering the same thing. Regardless, AMD screwed this up big time. I agree with a previous poster, AMD's Marketing Dept went "full retard", and you never go full retard.

Intel's lead is just so substantial over AMD for the past 5 years, that there is absolutely nothing that AMD's CPU/APU division can do at this point. They can stick around for consoles and mobile. The CPU/APU div should get purchased by Qualcomm. Now that would be interesting... You'd have to dump the AMD Radeon graphics off on it's own. It can no longer be associated with the trainwreck that is now AMD's CPU (or APU) division.

Op has a habit of trying to stand out from crowd, opens duplicate threads with lots of large font, bold text. Especially when the underlying theme is his hatred of Intel.

Edit: OP won't be able to reply to your question, he's been vacationed.
