A man allegedly threw the family cat at his wife during a domestic dispute this morning in the couple?s home in Palmyra, Wayne County.

Paul A. Wood, 25, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and cruelty to animals, both misdemeanors, and second-degree harassment, a violation, said Lt. Bob Hetzke of the Wayne County Sheriff?s Office.

Wood is accused of throwing the family cat at his wife and punching a hole in the wall of the couple?s home at the Trolley Road Trailer Park about 5:30 a.m. today. The cat, which has its claws, struck the woman in the back during the argument, deputies said.

The cat and the woman were not injured during the incident, Hetzke said.

Wood was arraigned this morning in Palmyra Town Court, where an order of protection was issued for his wife, deputies said. Wood was released on his own recognizance and is slated to answer the charges at a later date.

Honestly the cat isn't in as much danger as the wife in that situation.

It would have been nice if the cat came back and climbed up the guy's face and bit him in the eyes after. :|

Oh that figures...

She wasn't injured, but they noted the cat still had its claws? Wow, slow news day, great sensationalism. :p

Woot for white trash.

The cat throwing I can understand but how can he be accused of punching a hole in the wallof his own home?

Well if you do it, somebody can accuse you of doing it. If you didn't do it, somebody can accuse you of doing it. See how that works?

Felony Structural Intimidation, of course.

I predict FSI incidents will increase dramatically during our present economic downturn.

The walls, who will think of the walls?

You can't just throw a fucking cat... What a moron. You have to train cats to become effective throwing devices.
