She doesn't seem like a bitch at all nor does she appear to be dumb from what I've seen, so watching her on TV as a mediocre driver among other professionals doesn't validate your post.

I don't have to validate my post to you or anyone else. I think she is a dumb bitch as much as I think Tony Stewart and both Busch brothers are fucking douche bags. Rage on.

There's no context for any of this.

I didn't say you had to validate your post to me. From a high level, I'm simply pointing out that you're kind of an idiot. The rest is details. If anyone here is raging, it's you.

Saying you think I am kind of an idiot, you must be raging. Funny how my opinion of her and yours of me makes me raging.

That's pretty funny. She sure didn't take it in stride though. :colbert:

she should have laughed or at least cracked a smile.

with a camera on her, she should have known how to play the media game by now. unless she did it on purpose to get the PR.

I don't know why she's a dumb bitch, as you say. So she isn't the best driver in the history of racing. That doesn't mean she's horrible at what she does or deserves to be publicly humiliated. Yeah, it was a joke, but it was poor form given the circumstances in my opinion.

I think the OP has women issues.

She probably should have, but I don't blame her for not doing it. It's demeaning, it's crude, and it completely dismisses her personal skill and desire to succeed.

As I said before, it's not insulting because she's a woman. It's insulting because it's insulting.

It's also her career which pays based on performance. I am sure an formerly successful actor that say made a change from comedy to drama only to be floundering in their new market brought up.

They certainly would not laugh about it (that would just tell the studios that they think its funny too).

Ok, I re-watched the vid and her response were not that bad at all. Imagine having the unblinking camera on you in that situation. If she had more practiced PR savvy she would have monkey grinned and fake guffawed and then, I guess, wormed her way into America's collective heart.

Otoh, neither was Jay Mohr really out of bounds with his kidding comedic banter. Only a complete idiot would take such Borscht Belt shtick personally.

tl;dr Controversy not found on either side.

Her schtick is "sexy NASCAR driver," not "good NASCAR driver," and it's only notable because NASCAR is remarkably and unabashedly white-male-dominated.

It's not like I could do what she does, but in a room full of people who can, the reason she stands out is either the fact that she's a woman, or the fact that she's a *wink* woman. As long as she's posing for maxim, she needs to admit its one and not the other, and own it.

So tell me genius, what, in your expert opinion, was Juan Pablo Montoya's problem in Nascar? Because he drove in that series for 6 years and only managed to win 2 races. Do you consider him a "good nascar driver?"

Bear in mind this is a guy who won the Indianapolis 500, the Monaco Grand Prix, and won the CART Championship in his rookie year.
