maybe the solstice coupe will drop like a rock and i can get both that *and* a G8GT next year?

What really killed them was thinking anyone would actually buy the f'n G3 and G5. Why not just leave the low end crap cars to chevy. Noooo they spend valuable time and energy/resources on bringing that POS to market. Instead they could have stuck with a smaller lineup of cars for longer than they did.

I'm figuring the GTO is going to become a lot more expensive. 🙁

I assume that the existing warranty on current Pontiacs, as well as all of the unsold Pontiacs sitting on dealer lots will be backed up by GM? I can't remember what they did with Oldsmobile.

I'd think about picking up a G8 in the near future, depending on what the price does.

It'd be nice if that model were transferred to Chevy; that way there'd be no worries about the parts supply.

The G8 is way too nice of a car to let go to waste.

Or the Lumina as it is in other areas (as already mentioned above). It's the G8 here. Commodore in it's country of origin and the Vauxhall VXR8 in Europe. It's the Lumina SS in the Mid-East market.

It'll most likely be called the Chevy Camaro Sedan >.>

Has anyone even seen one of these things on the road...or even at a dealship??

I would love it...although I think they should leave the Camaro name alone and just call it something else...but I really don't care and would seriously consider it.

They are going to be exceptionally rare. Guaranteed classic, even if it's not that great of a car.

reminds me of Oldsmobile...get some decent products into the pipeline after years of neglect, then axe the brand

Too little, too late. Remember, before we got the Aurora, we had the Achieva. In Poncho's case; before we got the G8, we had clumsy FWD sedans.

Wonder what kind of fire sale you'll see on existing inventory and what it does to resale in the used market.

It makes me tempted to go look for a black G8 GXP...manual of course

I test drove one today.

I test drove a Ford today too! just to get that $50. turned out to be a shitty old gift card. looks like they didn't mean cash when they said "test drive a ford and get $50." oh well still milked them!

wait so is pontiac gone?

It'd be a cool idea, but GM has since given up on cool ideas, being owned by the government now and everything...

I think GM is stupid to kill G8 and not move it to Chevy. Their argument is they don't have money to market it, but I think in this modern day, there is actually a lot of potential consumer awareness of the G8 without them marketing it, and that would increase as more show up on the streets. Plus the cost of federalizing it is already sunk, so it doesn't cost them much to simply rebadge it as Chevy. It simply gives the customer another option at a Chevy dealer, and gives the dealer another vehicle to offer a customer if he doesn't like something else. I wonder if trying to appear environmentally friendly to please the feds had something to do with it. There is a lot more P&R backlash when a company offers a V8 in a mainstream sedan affordable to the masses, as opposed to when it is in a luxury product attainable by a few.
