I don't think I would... it would be against my morals to get freaky with a kid that was still in high school. You have to be 18+ to get into this party. :p

Don't lie. I see you cruisin' the local high school:p;)

I've found that chloroform and a ball gag works wonders for keeping them quiet.

law means nothing to me
how the hell would the law know.... couldn't care less

at my age, the only teen i would have a relationship with would have to be like 19, so it doesn't matter.... I'm only 22, so..

i don't think the question is whether or not you'd have a relationship, just sex...

And the answer is "depends on the indivdual". Being 25, and if I was single, i'd go as low as 18, but probably only for having a toy on my arm

Well, the age of consent is arbitrary. There's no magical transformation that takes place when you turn 18, so if I thought it was moral to sleep with a girl who just turned 18, I can't imagine why it would be immoral to sleep with her just before she turns 18. I voted for "it depends".

That said, I'm not really into youngin's so I very much doubt I would ever want to sleep with a teenager, let alone think it moral.

Thanks guys for voting honestly and keeping the discussion mature (or as mature as ATOT can get ;) ) interesting results so far... Anyone think that the age of consent should be changed? Not for marriage, mind you.... People mature rather quickly now and sometimes it's very hard to tell a 17 year old from a 22 year old... Since minor evolution may be a factor (bodies mature slightly faster now than say 50 years ago) should the age of consent change as well, sorta like inflation?

17 and up only for me. Even 17 is a lil low, so it better be a great relationship.

To be clear I'm not talking about relationships per se.. I just said "relations" in the title to avoid a ban ;)

It'd look like the A-Team van, with me in a Mr. T costume driving. M4H can't drive a van, poor sap.

Hhaha... That's the first option.. My deeper thought here is whether our morals are based on law or if our laws are based on morals.. Sure, some issues are clear cut: murder is wrong.. But if we did not have pre-existing laws that said that a 20 year old can't have sex with a 16 year... Well, I wonder if the poll results would be different.... Before you judge my gf's only a few months younger than me ;)

In general, for this issue, the laws are based on morals. The idea that it is wrong for adults to have sex with children is agreed upon by pretty much everyone.

But for the specifics of what age is classified as an adult, I think people base their decision on the law rather than their own moral views.

Exactly.. I'm all for laws and this one in general.. In fact, while I do believe that 17 should be the proper age but then, what if a 16 year old behaves like an adult? What if there's a very mature 14 year old out there? 12? Without guidelines who knows what would happen... Laws are helpful but it's also interesting to think about what they really are controlling..
