His money and his choice, get over it.
I would not be either. I have no need or desire for a Mac and I think you can get a better flash MP3 than the iPod shuffle; maybe one with a LCD screen.
Apple may have done an awesome job developing and marketing the iPod, but seems like this Shuffle thing is pretty half-assed done.

Flash based players still have a very rightful place. They are vastly superior in battery life and aren't adversely affected by the jolts and jitters when exercising. Much cheaper too.
So there's certainly a market for them, I just see it as a half ass attempt on Apples part to not include an LCD.

I am never going to tell someone what to do with their money.
That being said, some people just have this pre-concieved notion of what Apple and Macs are all about. If they can't complain about the price, they complain about the mouse. If they can't complain about the mouse or the price, then they will create some other reason to hate them so they don't have to admit that they were wrong or ignorant.

but, using a Mac will make you gay!
i'll admit i'm hesistant to buy a Mac simply because i'm not used of the OS. i find the "hate" that people have to Apple products or the Mac OS is rather stupid. same thing applies to people who love to bash microsoft products. i can understand brand loyalty, but in the computer world, i'm partial to whatever works and get the job done.
besides, since when is neffing OS-dependent??![]()

I'm diggin' the ipod shuffle, even if they are trying to sell it based on a feature that's available in almost all music devices (shuffle). I like the USB storage feature also..
Any better alternatives for MP3 players in that price range that double as USB memory sticks?
You do understand that assumption goes both ways right?Originally posted by: mpitts

I'm definitely getting a Mac Mini. Tired of Windows XP always screwing up on me. I turned it on today and Windows wouldn't even boot. It said something like "services.exe - unable to find component". Man, I didn't even do anything! I just turned it on! It was working this morning! I swear, Windows XP Pro always giving problems. If not now then sometime later. I'm not a novice user either, I know what I'm doing.
So, I have decided on this:
For school work, surfing, etc = Mac Mini
Gaming, watching movies and storing files = my Windows PC (will not be connected to internet unless online gaming, other than that surfing on the Mac)
Plus, I have a KVM switch and a monitor with dual VGA connectors...so no needed accessories. The Mac mini is so tight and small.
And plus, I have a friend that knows another friend who works for Apply....so...DISCOUNTS....WOOO.
Real quick question: Is a Mac real picky when it comes to installing new memory? Also, if I installed PC3200 RAM in it will it automatically declock to PC2700 speeds?

I'm not going to turn this into a mac vs pc flamefest, but I've heard your exact statement numerous times.
It's not a false statement by anymeans, I see windows fanboys using thoes ridiculous complaints all the time.
The reality is that mac users are far more elitest than any pc user. The justifications for this are weak and subjective at best.
To each their own.
